In addition to his million dollar income, he also owns a tax payer paid horse ranch...not bad for small town city manager...

These people need to rot in prison...General population for them....I hope they get beat daily while in the joint and are taken out in a box.

Well, if there are other cities out there that are out of Control to this degree, I hope they are outed. I hope cities that are even less out of control are outed.

Isn’t it shocking that in this day and age city leader’s salaries are not public record. This is something that hadn’t crossed my radar before. I hear there’s a movement in California to require all cities to publish their leader’s salaries.

Can’t believe this wasn’t the case before.

That should wake a lot of people up. It should prevent this from happening again. Let’s hope.

I saw the people attending a Bell Council meeting on the news last night. These are what Tea Party members SHOULD be. They’re on the verge of torches and pitchforks there. Heads SHOULD roll there. Let’s hope it has a ripple effect.

Yeah, we've seen it..Many are are hard working Hispanics that had no idea they were being gang raped by these government crooks.

New conference:

Calculated government greed and theft, enriching themselves....These people were showering themselves with hundreds of thousands of tax paid dollars....Boats, horse ranches, gold plated retirement pensions, flashy cars...

This is the tip of the iceberg.

Government out of control!

Although I don’t approve of the salaries, I am confused about the arrests.

Your police chief was offered a $450,000 position, and he took it (I’d probably do the same thing!).

While the amount is ridiculous, is it illegal in some way?

Of course, if they were Republican it would have read differently. REPUBLICAN city officials were arrested. REPUBLICAN Rizzo collected a salary of $1.5 million ... etc.

And they'd also be the kind of "Republicans" we have in Chester PA: A second party of democrats at war with the first party of democrats.

http://articles.latimes.com/2010/aug/22/local/la-me-rizzo-20100822

The lifestyle that Robert Rizzo enjoyed during his run as Bell city manager included a stable full of thoroughbreds, among them a gelding named Depenserdel’argent — French for “spend money.”

And Rizzo had plenty to spend, with an annual compensation package that swelled to $1.5 million in one of Los Angeles County’s poorest cities.

Rizzo, who resigned last month after The Times disclosed his base salary of nearly $800,000, has held title to about three dozen horses since his pay began soaring, according to thoroughbred industry databases.

He conducted his racing business through at least three firms he launched and bought a $930,000 ranch in 2004 in Auburn, Wash., southeast of Seattle, a getaway from his similarly valued home in Huntington Beach, state and county records show.

I’ve been following this quite closely, since I lived in that part of LA County for over a year.

My question is this: If these people are indicted and convicted, what happens to their pensions and properties?
