Detroit is no longer a livable city. It is in fact, dying. From a peak of over 2 Million people, what we have now is a city of about 900,000. Over a million have fled the city.
Close to 30% of the city’s residential area is VACANT.
Certain parts of the city look like a war zone and the new Mayor, former NBA great, Dave Bing is proposing razing parts of the city (where buildings are abandoned and in dis-repair) and replacing them with “green” zones.
The sad thing is this city used to be vibrant with life, business and culture ( remember MOTOWN ?).

Highest crime=blue
Lowest crime=red (the occasional blue dot in a red area is a criminal)

I think you're asking a rhetorical question.
But in case you're not, allow me to answer:
The colors in question have been changed for the same reason that on the presidential election maps, about three election cycles ago the MSM changed the color of the Dhimmis from red to blue -- while they changed the 'Pubs from blue to red.
In other words, all for the sake of politically correct ideology.

If your town had the Demographics of say my hometown of Jackson Mississippi and showed no segregation then you could crow ...but why...like this is so damned important for what reason?

Cleveland. There are a lot of dots in the lake. Each one represents 25 people. There are VERY few people living on houseboats off Cleveland. It's a bit tough in the winter. The algorithm must be messed up.
