HOORAY Michelle!

Men naturally rebel against the injustice of which they are victims. Thus, when plunder is organized by law for the profit of those who make the law, all the plundered classes try somehow to enter — by peaceful or revolutionary means — into the making of laws. According to their degree of enlightenment, these plundered classes may propose one of two entirely different purposes when they attempt to attain political power: Either they may wish to stop lawful plunder, or they may wish to share in it.

Woe to the nation when this latter purpose prevails among the mass victims of lawful plunder when they, in turn, seize the power to make laws! Until that happens, the few practice lawful plunder upon the many, a common practice where the right to participate in the making of law is limited to a few persons. But then, participation in the making of law becomes universal. And then, men seek to balance their conflicting interests by universal plunder. Instead of rooting out the injustices found in society, they make these injustices general. As soon as the plundered classes gain political power, they establish a system of reprisals against other classes. They do not abolish legal plunder. (This objective would demand more enlightenment than they possess.) Instead, they emulate their evil predecessors by participating in this legal plunder, even though it is against their own interests.

It is as if it were necessary, before a reign of justice appears, for everyone to suffer a cruel retribution — some for their evilness, and some for their lack of understanding.

Frederic Bastiat

How about a pledge to give no Party Money or other support (probably the most significant help) to anyone who does not pledge to work to enact the pledge?

How about this pledge: “I will not swallow any more crap sandwiches” toss Collins, Snowe, Lugar, Graham and Voinovich out of the Senate.

Crap Sandwiches are the primary food source for RINOs.

How about a pledge to remove all current leadership from the republican ranks?

No doubt she’s referring to Boehner’s (mispelled?) remark on FauxNoose back during the stimulus whupping, where he referred to the legislation forced upon us as a “Sh!t Sandwich”!

He oughta at least be given credit for that, don’cha think?

We don't need no more stinking Liberal/Rino deluxe crap jumbo sandwiches....
How about this pledge politicians ?
How about treating the citizens as the true rightful owners of the authority that the US Constitution grants to us.
YOU stinking politicians ONLY get your authority ONLY by the CONSENT of the governed ( i.e. CITIZENS ) who rightfully own that authority in whom it was given by and from GOD.

The telling point (and most disturbing one to me) is the pledge to reduce discretionary spending to 2008 levels.

As I understand the word “discretionary”, that spending should be eliminated in entirety.

So mindless bitchiness sells. So much easier then taking the time to read the document and realize, while not perfect, it is a good start.

How about the habitual whiners in the Conservative movement finally grow up? NOTHING in life is ever perfect. Rather then bitching about the 1/3 of the glass that is empty here, look at the 2/3rds that is full.

Stupid stupid stupid behavior from supposedly "Conservative" thinkers on this issue.

The Pledge will unite the Republican Party so that we all vote straight-party Republican in November. Each and every Democrat must be defeated.

The Pledge shows that the problems which the Republican Party had two years ago have been fixed. We have a real, conservative platform. We have real primaries in which RINOs are defeated. Republican politicians stopped extremist legislation like Don’t Ask Don’t Tell and DREAM amnesty by voting unanimously against it.

For the first time in years I feel I am a member of the Republican Party. Reagan conservatism has been reborn.

Ummmmmm...

On the one hand, we’ve got what they’re saying, now that they’re feeling a bit desperate about losing control of “The Party” to the unwashed masses...

On the other hand, we’ve got their record over the past 10 years, or so....

What to choose, what to choose??

Notice you two bitchbots simply skipped over the fact the Pledge calls for ending TARP.

But mindlessly bitching all the time is so much easier for you two then actually bothering to LEARN anything now isn't it?

This comment on Michelle's site says it all:

"Michelle’s point [is] that we couldn’t trust them to honor the Constitution before (aka law of the land), a document they had taken a solemn oath to protect and defend, so how can we trust them to honor a mere pledge?"

As is sometimes said:

"Once burnt, twice learnt."

Most of the posters here are Democratic trolls paid by Soros. They are trying to divide the Republican party by turning us against each other.
