The Essential Dixie Chicks - Make no mistake that the Dixie Chicks infamous falling out with the Bush administration altered the band’s dynamic forever. The brooding, angry ladies behind Not Ready To Make Nice are a far cry from the sassy, cowgals that brought you Sin Wagon.

I loved the parental comment quoted on TMZ - “my kid wants milk now”. LOL.

They dropped Katy Perry? Really??

Oh well. Maybe they can get Mylie Cyrus to appear.

Maybe she’ll even wear underwear.

GLBT?

Only a neanderthal reactionary would use such an exclusionary, marginalizing term as GLBT. Enlightened people realize that the correct term is LGBTSTGNC.

What on earth were they thinking to have this woman on their show, and then to allow her to dress as she did? Who is in charge there?

I’m amazed at the number of people who continue to sit their children in front of the TV to be entertained, never know what the children are watching and expect a positive outcome.

how about the ones that turn their child over to the teacher unions for 12 years and expect them to come out thinking that Communism is bad.

Court Yard Hounds were the two taller attractive Dixie Chicks?

The fat loud mouth lib one married to a moo-slim looks like she turned dyke. I think the other two girls were not totally on board with the ranting.

Reminds me of David Crosby and The Byrds when they threw him out for ranting at the Monterey Pop Festival.

The Dixie Chicks really destroyed their career. Do any country stations play their crap anymore? I thought most stations dropped them like a lead balloon.

Who cares about cleavage? I’d be more concerned about exposing my kids to crappy, cookie-cutter pop music.

Actually, the song pretty much offends the GLBT community because it’s not really supportive of that lifestyle at all.

Katy has admitted that she wrote it just to seem edgy, cool and controversial as she was becoming popular.

Lots of her music appears to be written “for effect” if you will.

I thought Jill Sobule wrote that song? There’s two songs with the same name?

They didn't break up the Dixie Chicks. Natalie didn't feel like going into the studio and the other 2 did so they just took another name. The Chicks reunited to tour with The Eagles but that flopped and most of their shows got canceled due to poor ticket sales. They placed most of the blame for that on The Eagles for trying to sell high-priced tickets in a down concert market but I'm sure having an unpopular supporting act didn't help their cause.

The only good shows were in the 70’s when the count was scary, snuffy only lived in Big Bird’s Mind, Mr. Hooper was still alive, and Oscar was one mean SOB.

And Cookie Monster ate nothing but cookies!
