The Tea Party Movement is a Scam (Elitist Nancy Boy Temper-Tantrum Alert)
RealClearPolitics ^ | 9/23/2010 | E.J. "Fancy Lad" Dionne

WASHINGTON -- Is the tea party one of the most successful scams in American political history?

Before you dismiss the question, note that word "successful." Judge the tea party purely on the grounds of effectiveness and you have to admire how a very small group has shaken American political life and seized the microphone offered by the media, including the so-called liberal media.

But it's equally important to recognize that the tea party constitutes a sliver of opinion on the extreme end of politics receiving attention out of all proportion with its numbers.

Yes, there is a lot of discontent in America. But that discontent is better represented by the moderate voters who expressed quiet disillusionment to President Obama at the CNBC town hall meeting on Monday than by tea party ideologues who proclaim the unconstitutionality of the New Deal and everything since.

The tea party drowns out such voices because it has money -- some of it from un-populist corporate sources, as Jane Mayer documented last month in The New Yorker -- and has used modest numbers strategically in small states to magnify its impact.

Go cry in your mittens, E.J.

This article repeats the latest meme on the far-left -where EJ frolics with the likes of Keith 0, the Huffposeurs, Glenn Greenwald, and the rest. That is, the Tea Party is just a front for right-wing versions of George Soros. There's no real anger. Nobody really believes in the Constitution. It's all fake, because nobody could really actually get worked up enough to repudiate the far left. Why? Well, because, as we all know, everyone loves the far left - or if they don't love the far left, it's because they're just too ignorant to realize that they should - for their own good - love the far left. And everything else is just a conspiracy amongst shadowy figures like Karl Rove.

Believe what you like, liberal. Call it just another instance, as in all else, when everything you know is wrong.

This idiot needs to go to a rally and see the people and talk to them ... and admire the respect paid, discipline observed and clean grounds when they are through with the property. then compare it to any leftist march in history.

Maybe it is a scam, EJ.

What must be bothering you is that it isn't your scam.

Can we say, “Projection!”?

As always, when they claim we are doing something underhanded they are simply exposing themselves as practitioners of those tactics.

“But it’s equally important to recognize that the tea party constitutes a sliver of opinion on the extreme end of politics receiving attention out of all proportion with its numbers.”

Unless, of course, one considers the poll numbers, which directly contradict this statement.

The so-called peace movement was not peaceful. The marchers quite often rioted and vandalized businesses, banks, and government offices.

They were not anti-war either. They were decidedly PRO-Palestinian war (up to and including the use of suicide bombers) and pro”insurgents”. They were decidedly AGAINST the United States and our allies.

They were funded and organized by numerous Communist organizations yet it never made the media’s headlines.

When we were told the numbers of people “pushing down Bush’s approval numbers” they were diseparate groups with completely counter views (e.g pro-illegal immigration vs. anti-illegal immigration in opposition to amnesty, etc.). Bush didn’t strike a “happy medium”, he ticked off his base and he was never going to get support from the 30% lib portion of this country.

I’ve come to realize that their ideology, indeed, truly is based on the will of the father of lies. Everything they push is “of this world”, and consequently against God.

It is really no wonder that everything they believe is upside down from reality.

Yeh...and those are just the ones that were able to show up. There were MANY more who believe in the cause, that weren't able to make it there.
