I’m afraid you’re right about that.
First there was the “Beck going blind” hoax...now “losing feeling?”
House is that you?
No. But I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night. ;-)
Left-wingers will be dancing and cheering in the streets. Talking heads will have orgasms on-air. Chris Matthews will have more than a tingling feeling.
Well, I’ve heard that if you do certain things often enough, you’ll go blind.
And if you start to lose feelings in your hands, you should check for hair growing there...................
Prayers.
I have a friend who was diagnosed with MS some time ago. His symptoms are mirroring what she went through. You’re a little quick to call it a hoax. MS is notoriously difficult to diagnose.
I hope that this is not what he has. From Wikipedia:
Signs and symptoms
Main article: Multiple sclerosis signs and symptoms
The person with MS can suffer almost any neurological symptom or sign, including changes in sensation such as loss of sensitivity or tingling, pricking or numbness (hypoesthesia and paraesthesia), muscle weakness, muscle spasms, or difficulty in moving; difficulties with coordination and balance (ataxia); problems in speech (dysarthria) or swallowing (dysphagia), visual problems (nystagmus, optic neuritis including phosphenes,[13][14] or diplopia), fatigue, acute or chronic pain, and bladder and bowel difficulties.[1] Cognitive impairment of varying degrees and emotional symptoms of depression or unstable mood are also common.[1] Uhthoff’s phenomenon, an exacerbation of extant symptoms due to an exposure to higher than usual ambient temperatures, and Lhermitte’s sign, an electrical sensation that runs down the back when bending the neck, are particularly characteristic of MS although not specific.[1] The main clinical measure of disability progression and symptom severity is the Expanded Disability Status Scale or EDSS.[15]
“We will soon be seeing leftists dancing in the streets over Glenns failing health”
...let ‘em dance. Come November they’re be a run on antidepressants.
Sounds like diabetic neuropathy which usually affects the hands and feet.
My guess is MS (which me and my sister were both tested for, repeatedly) or this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guillain-Barr%C3%A9_syndrome#Signs_and_symptoms
I was diagnosed with this. And I must tell you, these were the scariest three months of my life. And I’d already gone through neurosurgery. It makes your limbs “act out.” Mine went away on it’s own. I think God Almighty took pity on me.
In any event, it suggests an auto-immune disorder. I’m happy that GB has earned enough money to hire the best of the best doctors.
While I’m an agnostic on GB and his topics, I believe he is a good man, trying to do his best work on things important to all of us.
We’re all tested, at some point. Perhaps, this is his test.
He has my prayers.....godspeed.
Is there any poisons that cause these symptoms? Does Obama have an alibi? I wouldn’t put anything past obozo.
Prayers are up for Glenn.
I remember him crying about "almost dying' when he was hospitalized a couple years ago...now he's "going blind" (in other words -he needs glasses)
I hope there is nothing seriously wrong but I think he's kind of a hypochondriac
Polymyalgia rheumatica. This disease involves joints as well as tendons, muscles, ligaments, and tissues around the joint. Symptoms often include pain, aching, and morning stiffness in the shoulders, hips, neck, and lower back. It is sometimes the first sign of giant cell arteritis, a serious disease of the arteries which is also characterized by inflammation, weakness, weight loss, and fever. Giant cell arteritis may lead to blindness or stroke. While the hands and feet may be affected, this type of involvement is unusual.
Of all the possibilities listed at the site I visited, this is the only one that spoke to the symptoms that were indicated in Glenn's situation. However, note that it states it's unusual to have the hands and feet involved. I will check on the MS symptoms.
Diabetic neuropathy was what I thought of first as well.
My prayers for him but I hope he’s seeing a good doctor right now.
After checking, I can see where MS is being brought up as a possibility. There could be other reasons, though, and I hope that his doctors are checking for all possibilities including poison - he’s made a lot of enemies.
MS is not hard to diagnose anymore.
Yep and they will ask where is your God now? Obama snickers.
