“...and possibly used by the Texan army...”

Something about the words ‘Texan Army’ just make me feel really happy.

Time for some W bashing. It’s a good thing he’s not governor. He’d give it back to Mexico like he gave the sword. He’s probably call them and say “Come and take it.”

The way things are going, we may need it again pretty soon, against the same enemy.

Maybe we’ll see it soon on the History Channel’s Pawn Stars. Love that show

Thanks BradtotheBone.
possibly used by the Texan army during the 1836 Alamo battle
IOW, there's no real way to know. The number of cannon reported found near the site (per this article) suggests they were used by Santa Ana's forces, and abandoned after or during the battle due to damage (Boo! Bronze cannon! Boo!).

Discontinued humor, originally (I think) from Paul Rodriguez (and used by him in his short-lived sitcom, "a.k.a. Pablo"):
Why were there 5,000 Mexicans at the Alamo?
They only had one car.
Just adding to the catalog, not sending a general distribution.

To all -- please ping me to other topics which are appropriate for the GGG list.
