Have you ever bothered to watch or listen to Angle or O’Donnell or are you just letting the Junk media tell you what to think? You could not be more wrong.

You just do not get it.

You Old Guard still refuse to open your eyes and see what is going on. The Republic is in danger.

Never in out history has the nation been governed by a group so fundamentally at odds with the values and the believes of the average citizen as the 0 Democrats.

In every other election the two sides shared some common values that linked them all as Americans. That is not the case this time. This time it is the Americans vrs the Anti Americans. Between those who value the exceptionalism of the USA and those who wish to destroy that exceptionalism and remake it in the style of a European Democrat Socialist country.

You persists in thinking of this as just another election, just another round in the game where everyone shakes hands afterwords. That is not at all the case. We are engaged now in a remorseless revolutionary struggle where by either the Republic is restored or it is fundamentally, radically changed.

In that struggle there is no middle ground. One is either on our side or against us. I know that is hard for the "can't we all just get along" moderates like Kruathammer to deal with but that is the reality in US politics we are living these days.

Is that enough "context" for you, CharacterCounts?

Yes it is!

However, I hope you can understand my original comment. After 12 years here, I have seen plenty of stuff posted out of context to the extent the "quote" gives the opposite impression of what the author intended.

This quote did not fall into that category.

Absolutely not.

I’m not endorsing Krauthammer’s views, I’m simply stating that he will adapt to the changing political environment in order to find a comfortable position for his contentious opinions.

>> One is either on our side or against us.

While I agree with you regarding the fallacies of Moderate ideology, I don’t agree the entire political process is exclusive to two polarized extremes. From the Constitutional standpoint, there is but one extreme which is to the Left. The apex of Constitutionalism exists somewhere in the interests of the Right. What might be considered Right extremism actually trends back towards Leftism and is better known as Fascism and Statism. Krauthammer might belong to the Statist camp.

Why would Paul Revere been flamed? I don't really understand you're tagline.

Paul Revere brought truthful yet bad news. This is not often received well at FR. Many FReepers flame those who give warnings as "naysayers" who should "go back to DU" or similar. These soldiers of the Ostrich Brigade put their heads in the sand and lose rather than adjust to such considerations and win.

You also suggested the man at the Angle/Reid debate who threw the punch may have been an Angle supporter. Do you know if this is true or were you just suggesting the possibility?

Purely offering a possibility.

Not only is he a pragmatist, but he is a realist. Charles pissed off Freepers because he chose not to support the O’Donnell woman and did so with strong reasoning.

He merely pronounced what he perceived as reality. He is yet to be proved wrong.

The same is true for Karl Rove.

True, Christine O'Donnell's nomination in Delaware may cost the Republicans an otherwise safe seat (and possibly control of the Senate), and Sharron Angle in Nevada is running only neck-and-neck with an unpopular Harry Reid.
"Chuck Krauthammer" is an idea for a course of action.
