Criminal proceedings against kidnapper of schoolgirl Jaycee Lee Dugard halted

Criminal proceedings against the man accused of kidnapping Jaycee Lee Dugard have been sensationally halted because of concerns about his mental state.

Superior Court Judge Douglas Phimister made the decision yesterday after a short pre-trial hearing for Phillip Garrido.

Phimister said he had concerns about Garrido's mental competency to participate in his defence.

He is facing 29 counts of kidnapping, rape and false imprisonment in the 1991 disappearance of Dugard

Pacific Rim countries do not execute people "for smoking pot." They execute people for distributing heroin and cocaine. And rightly so.

While Garrido should be executed, he would never have been since he has never been accused of first degree murder.

Garrido’s mental competency was not a problem for him when he kidnapped, raped, and killed this child.

Lawyers who put forth these types of defenses should be disbarred.

My vote goes for taking him out in the desert shoot him and leave him for the buzzards and coyotes. I watched the program. It made me sick the Deputies not doing their job.
