EHRAN, Iran Iran's seismological center says a magnitude 6.1 earthquake has jolted a remote mountainous area in southern Iran.
The center says Monday's quake shook a sparsely populated district of Konar Takhteh, some 560 miles (900 kilometers) southwest of the capital, Tehran.

Here is a great little piece of software called EARTHQUAKE 3D. Quick to download, easy to use, has a bunch of cool controls. Zoom in/out, spin the planet as fast as you want.
It is awesome, and free.
It gives one of the best ‘overall views’ on Earthquake activity I have seen. Makes it easier to see ‘patterns’.
