Comes from a guy named D'Arcis, one of those ruffians who came over from Normandy with William the Bastard, and got a village out of the deal. Thorp Arch=the village of D'Arcis

I read the headlines and chuckled. Glad that finally an SUV is not involved. After 5 mins I decided to read the text because I felt guilty for chuckling at the headlines. I shouldn't have read the text because I'm now ROFL. Can't help it.
This man had a comically tragic death. He should have worn his seat belt and brought a parachute along.
