Private Rodionov was killed by Chechen militants, when kept a prisoner in Chechnya, on May, 23rd, 1996. He was decapitated for refusal to take off the underwear cross he was wearing and accept Islam.

I remember thinking how brave the man had been, he looked straight into the camera while being abused and was unflinching. Later I learned who the man was...if you want to see a shorter video or pics just google "chechclear".
I also know that the chechen scum had given the video to his mother. And Russia aired it on television more than a few times, as well. Probably to garner support for the war with Chechnya at the time.
First time I saw the video I was very nauseated and almost threw up. I see blood and guts all the time. This video has a very evil and violent nature to it. So beware. The chechen steps on the head of the man, who is lying on a tarp, and then plunges a knife into his neck very suddenly. Quite close up.

One final note of interest that I recall was that the Russians had labeled him as a deserter but his mother knew better and went to Chechnya to find out what had happened to him. Unthinkable. Incredibly dangerous. And there she met the man who had killed her son and he gave her the video of it. Part of that story is here.
In fact, one of my own sisters has a "Democrat and Proud Of It" sign on her facebook page--she had to arrange her schedule when she was home for a visit this past summer to make sure she would be able to watch Nobama on Oprah--gagged me. It's not easy when we have family get togethers. With a few exceptions, I and my sons are the only conservatives. My parents believe the Democratic Party is the same one of the 50's. I keep trying to show them how it isn't, but can't get through to them.
I believe that you, dennisw, are endowed by your creator with special insight, which is not the case with the majority of your American Jewish brothers and sisters, unfortunately. God bless Israel.

Many Jews (non-Jews too) have romantic notions about “oppressed” third worlders. I soured on that years ago. Those Muslims and others in poor counties screwed them up just fine...all by themselves. They are illogical and ruled by superstitions. That is what hurts them
