NEW BRUNSWICK Two Rutgers University students have been charged with invasion of privacy for secretly placing a camera in another students dormitory room and transmitting a sexual encounter on the internet, Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce J. Kaplan and Rutgers University Police Chief Rhonda Harris announced today.
Dharun Ravi, 18, of Plainsboro and Molly W. Wei, 18, of Princeton have been charged with two counts each of invasion of privacy for allegedly using the camera to view and transmit a live image of an 18-year-old student in Piscataway on Sept. 19.

not all kids who go to college are rich.
Or what they did at my school (RIT) - bunch of engineering
students practiced all quarter slamming doors on floor in
sequence to create pressure wave
Blew out large window at end of floor ....
Thems were the days
It was an amazing time. That many people who were creative, undisciplined, knew how things worked and new how to use and make tools. It is a wonder we didn’t kill half of us off.
The doors/windows is great.
Hot Lips Hoolihan
Illegal aliens. I hope they get jail time for this s**t.
(Picked that up from 'Stalag 17')
Oh, Frank, my lips are hot! Kiss my hot lips Frank!
Nope... they will get to pay In-State tuition instead.
True, but Rutgers, while technically not one of THE Ivy League Schools, is still a very old and prestigious NE school. The cost of attending that school is very expensive. If these students were “working their way thru college” they would not have had time to plan, execute and broadcast their perfidy...........
I’m sorry but...you are making a BLANKET statement about rich kids with too much time on their hands. There are students at Rutgers and many other Institutions of Learning that turn out bright, young, intelligent graduates who aren’t rich nor with too much time on their hands. There are many families who begin an education fund for their children when they are born and continue throughout the years to add to that. We received 5 College invitations this year. All 5 young people worked hard to get there and are now out there planning their futures. Three for sure are entering into dental, medical and music. The other two are not yet sure but are out there working in the meantime.
You either go to college to learn, study and graduate or you go there to party. There are many who do both but I would not make a BLANKET statement about those who do nothing but party. Not ALL party nor do ALL have too much time on their hands.
I congratulate all the college students Class of 2009 and beyond who will continue to go to school to learn and try and make the world a better place for all of us, make theri own way in life and not have to put out their hand to the government. They will earn their own money and provide for their own families. I tip my hat to all of them and wish them well.
It all begins at home. The values you instill in your child at the elementary-middle-high school level will continue to be with them in college. What you raise is what you get............
Remember how "Hot Lips" got her name in the original M*A*S*H movie?
Exactly...so to assume all kids are rich with too much time on their hands is not a factual statement.
I’m a little too young to remember the original M*A*S*H movie, but I enjoyed the series.
Hawkeye and Trapper planted a microphone in the tent while Hot Lips and Frank Burns were “doing it”, and played it over the loudspeakers. She was saying “Kiss My Hot Lips, Frank”, hence the name.
Thanks for the link, I’ll read the article later tonight.
