Symposium: Secrets of Communism’s “Collapse”
Frontpage Magazine ^ | September 23, 2010 | Jamie Glazov

The mystery of the 1989 revolution in Eastern Europe remains unsolved even 20 years later, buried in the secret communist archives. Was it a genuine triumph of democracy or a clever plot orchestrated from the Kremlin to avoid a real triumph of democracy?

The events in Romania were the most dramatic of all: the street battles which left over a thousand dead, the hastily arranged trial and execution of the communist tyrant Nicolae Caeusescu, and a National Salvation Committee emerging as the new democratic government. However, the top secret archival documents from the Soviet Bloc suggest that the National Salvation Committee and its leader, Ion Iliescu, were secretly backed by the Soviet Union and even requested a Soviet military intervention during the revolution.

What does this mean?

This is a very long read, but it is highly recommended that you take the time to read it, to see what is happening. Seems that celebrating the "collapse" of Communism might have been a bit premature.

This scenario is true, not just for Romania, but for many of the Eastern Bloc countries. A friend of mine’s parents were Bulgarian dissidents who fled AFTER the “fall of Communism”, because their lives were still in danger from the “Democratic” government. They were nearly denied asylum in the US, since they left the country after the fall, but he said if they had ever set foot in Bulgaria again, his parents would be killed.

Executive Summary:

The Communists/Russians were a bunch of scheming weasels that lied to everybody including themselves and were so smart they couldn’t even realize the basics of human society.

They’re still hateful scumbags that are fooling themselves and are intent on keeping people down.

I have often thought that if communism was REALLY defeated... why were all the old commies hunted down and put on trial for crimes against humanity for killing over 100 million people?

Did Communism Fake Its Own Death in 1991?
American Thinker ^ | January 16, 2010 | Jason McNew

In a bizarre 1984 book [New Lies for Old], ex-KGB Major Anatoliy Golitsyn predicted the liberalization of the Soviet Bloc and claimed that it would be a strategic deception. ..."

"Golitsyn's argument was that beginning in about 1960, the Soviet Union embarked on a strategy of massive long-range strategic deception which would span several decades and result in the destruction of Western capitalism and the erection of a communist world government."

"Golitsyn published his second book, The Perestroika Deception, after the Soviet Union was dissolved in 1991. This book contained further analysis of the liberalization, in addition to previously classified memoranda submitted by Golitsyn to the CIA. The two books must be read together to get a complete picture of Golitsyn's thesis."

The USSR wouldn’t hve lasted a year without financial support from the west.

The USSR went broke and no one stepped in to support the centralized govt. We provided aid to the individual countries. I think it will be the same here, The federal govt will go broke and NO international aid will go to recreate it. Aid will come to individual states and regions if there is any. It will come with strings attached also.

My point was that from the initial $20 million to support the Bolshevik takeover by NY bankers, US stated policy has been in conflict with real economic activity.
