The Equal Protection Clause, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equal_Protection_Clause

Unfortunately Presidents (Republican and Democrat) appoint people who are in agreement with the idea that the Judiciary should be deferential to the Executive branch.

I could understand the Burger King because he is, after all, royalty. Bowing to a clown is something completely different.

“So now we live in a society in which we are subject to the whims of political appointees. My country of birth doesn’t really exist anymore.”

Hallmark of fascism. Winners and losers chosen according to political whim.

Screw "Flexibility",repeal the whole damn thing!

No incremental changes or tweaking this or that.

Dump the whole socialist takeover, then we move on to other things like the Department of Education.

So is Obama going to re-write ObamaScare just for McDonald’s? Likely blowing smoke up Micky Ds rear for the November elections.

Yeah, but this is right out of Atlas Shrugged. I’m afraid my company won’t have as effective a “Washington man” as McDonald’s does.

You are right. Most of us are screwed.

top health official will "exercise her discretion" in enforcing a new health-law requirement

Kind of like they do at the Justice Department.

You must be young. Mine vanished many decades ago.

"...so what's Obama gonna do; back down on them all?"

Good question. He and his ilk are so slimey, I could see them trying to force McDonald's and other large corporations, like Walmart, into accepting unions, in exchange for immunity from his health care plan.

Who wrote a law that allows a single appointed person in the executive branch to actually decide who has to follow the law and who doesn’t?

"According to our constitution, the President is not supposed to make laws on his own.",

Yah well you've already provided the qualifier. Where's the enforcement?

All well and good for large, politically connected companies. Bad for the mom and pop businesses that compete with the big boys. Rent-seeking corporatism in action, all thanks to the Democratic Party.

G*d damm*t, but government sucks.

I agree. But I wonder. Who plays the role of Wesley Mouch? There are so many to choose from.

What does it matter? America is dead -- get over it and figure your part in our way forward. Or cave; it doesn't matter. It's over and too many don't understand it.

The expression Rule of law” came as a child of””freedom from the arbitary application of power”. Naked power is Government. An unjust soverign was aritrary and the fatal flaw of Monarchy or Oligarcy. With the application of naked power always in the hand of someone life is not free.

The tyrant King or the tyrant Democracy is free to be arbitrary.

By the arbitrary release of a McDonald a Campbell can be made to toe the line — sell its Tartan and its soup.

We want “fairness” after all and pray the Annointed One will grant it in this new church we find ourseves in.

I wonder how long it took the Obama Administration to threaten McDonalds into reversing course on this.
