I would bet that Rahm Emanuel’s departure is because he KNOWS something is about to happen, and he doesn’t want any part of it.
Oh really? Well gee, glad you told me, and here I’ve been living over here for 20 years.
Telling Americans to avoid places frequented by “westeners” in Europe, pretty much includes EVERYTHING in Europe.
Thats how they like to think of it...UYABO!
Those were the days!
Too bad you can’t defend yourself!
Admittedly, strategically for a high impact attack summer would be a perfect time, but they likely just want to do something on a lower level. Plus they know that with the TEA party candidates getting elected and Obama facing a conservative White House, that they are getting in what they can.
And, if the Euros have any sense, they’ll be readying the box cars and stoking the ovens. This time however, the target will be an entirely logical choice. After another attack, nothing would stop the Euros from simply putting another Holocaust together.
The reason would be to successfully get an idea of how to hide if in the event they want to manage to make a surprise attack on mall goers. I think malls are next really. Perfect place to take hostages and do something high impact. Like Beslan, only using a mall. I’m sorry to hear about how you successfully theorized the Spain train attack. I think attacks are going to be more grassroots and high impact as a result. A mall going up in flames or bombed would result in something that would shellshock the nation since malls are a fixture in the American lifestyle in a way that even the Trade Towers weren’t.
More families would be directly impacted since their kids go to these places, plus the workers there. And to say the least about the number of people there. One lone gunman could storm the place, spray bullets, and take out dozens. A dozen gunmen would have a higher impact. If they came in through the different entrances, at the same time then it would prevent any escapes. And the devastation would be far more horrific psychologically.
The press would be all over it, the nation would be shocked, and God only knows how many police/SWAT/national guard it would take until they are all shot down.
What good does that do? Let us take our guns to Europe, how about it State Department?????? We can defend ourselves.
Wait a minute, Barry. You’ve had two years to make the world love us. What gives?
It’s not just the jihadis. Look at all the anarchist-communist terrorism in Europe esp. Greece and Spain in the past few years. I dont know who I hate more anarchist punks or al-qaeda.
TWA flight 800 went down on July 17, the anniversary of the founding of the Baath party in Iraq.
I didn’t mean to offend you.
When I lived there, there were certain clubs and places that Americans liked to gather.
Yes, and only americans are westerners ....
I was looking at the headline.
The writer should have been more clear...or maybe not.
The Islamists are upset with the French, too.
I would hope though that Americans, specifically, who are overseas are changing up their routine if it is predictable.
??? Maybe NOT? Excepting maybe the odd Mosque or so, ALL OF EUROPE is frequented by Westeners - so just HOW can one NOT frequent so locales?
I would hope though that Americans, specifically, who are overseas are changing up their routine if it is predictable.
Sure - because the idiots can't be specific, all Americans in Europe will instantly change thier daily habits - work, shopping, going to school, etc ...
I would imagine that it is hard to write an article without all of the information.
We are being warned as Americans...but other westerners are in danger, too, it seems.
So...do you warn JUST Americans...or do you suggest that maybe it’s wise for ALL westerners to avoid places like the Eiffel Tower and other tourist sites where many westerners gather?
A terrorist can’t bomb every locale...they are going to choose the ones where they can do the most damage. I would imagine that sites known to be frequented by groups of Americans would probably be prime targets.
It’s not, however, just Americans. So, I would imagine it’s hard for a journalist to write a story.
