Ahmadinocchio

Don't Ask Don't Tell!

Why do leaders lie? Do they believe their lies are the truth? As transparent as they appear, nations, groups and hordes of people seemingly collude or join up in their complicity. How is it possible that they get away with such outlandish mythical comments such as: Benjamin Netanyahu is a “skilled killer” or the Holocaust never existed? Or that there is not one single homosexual in all of Iran?

Even today Ahmadinocchio is at it again. He reports he is going to be throwing rocks at the Israeli border on or around October 13th when he goes to Lebanon. Another lie, confusing the stoning of the Devil during the Hajj in Mecca with his Zionist entity. This leads us to the more important question

What is even more presumptuous is -- what statesman in his right mind would ever call another a killer or outspokenly join up in the denial or the folie a deux? How preposterous it is to claim to kill all infidels? What about the people who collude with the lies e.g., United Nations diplomats sitting in silence without muttering a word of protest?

In this article we are casting Ahmadinocchio in the role of Pinocchio, the puppet made out of pine, who wanted to become a boy, but every time he would tell a lie, his nose would grow. It is shocking to see how Ahmadinocchio has seduced the West with his innocent look, presenting himself as a westerner, feigning a college professor stance as he lectures pedantically with his manipulative rhetoric to a group of students at Columbia University. A pure brain washing frenzy! As he continues, his nose gets longer and he shrinks in stature.

Alongside Ahmadinocchio's nose, is a puppet that represents the sentiments of many of the Muslim people, not all but perhaps the more mundane aspects of the Ummah with a particularly Shiite twist of fanaticism. After all, the Shia have always been the underdog in Islam because they never received the inheritance.

Furthermore, having lived in a repressed society with inhumane treatment and governmental violations, it is no wonder that they perpetually live out the fantasy of the victim. So instead of mastering these feelings of helplessness, they project and externalize their “yucky” inferiority on to a scapegoat with their favorite ones being of course, the Jew, Israel, the Zionist conspiracy.

As outrageous as such comments are like the belief that if the Jews went outside while it was raining or snowing, they would contaminate the water or the claim that they do have women's rights but they still stone them, what is even worse than the lies are the people who listen to them, brain-washed by their own leaders out of terrorizing practices! Even most politically savvy officials do not see beyond the lies as, in a shame-honor society, it is the only way to save face. It is their unique yet challenged way of asserting power to prove their greatness.

We can see here at work an omnipotent fantasy at the core of the Shiite crescent phenomenon. Using the Pinocchio metaphor offers a glaringly apparent picture of how the lies that they tell live comfortably alongside Ahmadinocchio's puppet self.

The puppet self we describe is basically what is known as the false self, a persona designed to hide the true self. First, this is a strategy to preserve honor in a pervasive shame culture, and secondly it defends against the fear of getting caught. The lie protects a fragile shame-filled self that must find others to blame. However, the latter does not seem to apply to terrorists, because they don’t worry about getting caught. In fact, by contrast they are flagrantly proud and boast of their bold and gruesome acts as if they have won a Nobel Peace Prize.

So knowing that Ahmadinocchio is a Persian Pinocchio might help us better understand the root causes of this inferiority complex. Thus we can disarm its contagious paranoia and effectively deal with the manipulation. Above all we will be more effective in helping the healthy sector of the Iranian people who truly desire human rights and freedom like any of us. Just as the Berlin Wall ultimately came down, this mental wall of pervasive denial can be brought down too. Truth over delusion sets freedom in motion. Once you taste freedom from living without the delusion, there is no turning back.

Why do leaders lie?

Even I know this: because they can.

Seems the doctor gals are (accidentally) describing DEMORATS.

Nose growth is indeed the most concerning thing about Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and here silly me thinking that terrorism, and support of same, murdering hundreds monthly should be the focus.

I wish I was as smart as a shrink.

Dr. Nancy Kobrin's analysis is rudimentary and incomplete -- notwithstanding the Doctor's extensive educational background. It's as though she's never read or heard of the Green Revolution in Iran. She seems not to realize that thugs are in control of Iran through brute oppression, terror, and force. Iran has been the hostage for the past 30 years, doesn't she realize that? Let's start from that premise and the rest and the remedy will always fall into place.

The lie protects a fragile shame-filled self that must find others to blame.

I have always felt that there are many many many parallels between the mullahcracy ruling Iran and the state of the Democratic party and its leader ruling the USA.

Had to stop reading 1/2 way thru.

These Ph.D’s don’t know what they’re talking about when it comes to the majority of the Iranian people....because they don’t like Ahmadinejad and know he’s a liar too. They don’t blame everything on the Jews, they live next door to them, and they can’t stand seeing the regime sending millions (billions) of their money to Palestinians and other muslims in other countries.

lol - any practical psychoanalysis flickered out some 3 decades ago! Concepts & aspects, though, live on, as they should. But, truly, psychoanalysis is pretty much considered a dinosaur in modern day field of Psychology.

Sorry you did not like or enjoy the article. Coming from almost 30 years in the intelligence career field reading articles gives insight and clues not only into psychological, financial and other areas of interest but is also good to verify other information received.

On it own this article represents 2 peoples opinion coupled with other data it does make some sense.

Sorry I wasted your time!

People leave comments because they choose to read, of their own volition.

Insight is always good, IMO. People bother to leave comments based on their own personal perspective, sometimes a professional one - these shouldn’t be taken as a reflection on You or your post. Of course, you already know that ;)

I don't think that the writer's view of Ahmadinejad is accurate.

It is shocking to see how Ahmadinocchio has seduced the West with his innocent look, presenting himself as a westerner ...

His image is of "the other" - the outsider who provokes a reaction. Westerners do not see him as innocent, they see themselves as such.

Sorry I wasted your time!

You didn't waste my time.

It is usually valuable to know how something works if you want to fix it. However if the best action is not to fix it but to break it, then the job gets easier.

Rather than carefully studying Ahmadinejad so we can demonstrate his deception to the lame who can't remove him, why don't we just kill him? Solves all those lying problems real quick and saves a bunch of lives of those in his country that would have to try to remove him after the truth was "revealed" to them. As if they didn't already know.

The premise of the doctor gals is not supported by most historical events. Many vicious tyrannies are able to continue to suppress their citizens in spite of the triumph of the truth, Cuba, China, and North Korea are examples that won't change.

[Snip] The response here too was instant. Within a few hours of the debate, dozens of newspapers, websites, and hundreds of blogs were discussing and dissecting Ahmadinejad's inaccurate claims and misdemeanours in office. Many of them portray Ahmadinejad as Pinocchio, the puppet whose nose grows longer as he tells lies, an image that has come to define the president in the imagination of many. [Snip] From 'Iran on the Move', 11 June 2009 (http://www.opendemocracy.net/article/iran-on-the-move) As seen in his own country during last elections. Some articles must be read and information gained from reading other article to amass and coordinate or disqualify information. His own people have an idea of him, which westerners can read about ... even though the Iranian media is banned from reporting such. All one needs to do is look for sources other than ABC, CBS, NBS and CNN. Weblogs from Iranians are chock full of information, from the source, if one will take the time to search for them and read them..

Thanks.

I definitely agree that Ahmadinejad often lies (blatantly). It is one of his more notable traits/behavior. Many Iranians I know would agree too. Then again, Ahmadinejad is part of a much larger Islamic establishment (regime) in Iran. They ALL lie - the ability & willingness to lie can be specified as pre-requisites to be part of the Regime & two of the essential requirements to survive in that environment. Besides, he is also a politician, and politicians are not exactly known for being truthful!
