WASHINGTON Few would deny that Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer is a polarizing figure in Washington and a power broker in Congress.
As she navigates her most difficult race in years, however, her record is on trial.
Her opponent, Republican Carly Fiorina, points out that few pieces of legislation bear Boxer's name. She portrays the incumbent as a do-nothing senator, arguing that Boxer's partisanship makes it impossible for her to forge high-profile bipartisan agreements.
"She hasn't done anything for the people of California, other than make their lives more difficult," Fiorina, the former head of Hewlett-Packard, told reporters in Washington recently.
The criticism extends this year to voices usually more friendly to Boxer. The San Francisco Chronicle has declined to endorse in the race, saying the senator "failed to distinguish herself during her 18 years in office."

That'll leave a mark........
Good luck Carly but methinks that the looters will rule Calif as usual. I’d like to be wrong though. Carly needs at least a 5 point lead to allow for the graveyard and illegals voting alone.
The other half of her mantra:
"In these tough times, you need me in the Senate."
"In these tough times, you need me in the Senate."
"In these tough times, you need me in the Senate."
"In these tough times, you need me in the Senate."
"In these tough times, you need me in the Senate."
Too bad her mother didn’t exercise that option...
> “failed to distinguish herself during her 18 years in office.”
Wait a minute, Carly, I vigorously disagree!
Babs Boxhead distinguished itself once by dressing-down a U.S. General and American hero, insisting that he call it “Senator”, remember?
Now, THAT distinguishes the Boxhead, albeit INFAMOUSLY, but it does distinguish it.
Boxtard isn’t in trouble b/c of her non record of ever doing a frickin thing besides vote against our military at every opportunity.
The creature is in trouble b/c of her personality. Once she was exposed for the hateful shrew that she is, her negatives shot up. She was much safer hidden in obscurity.
Has Boxer done anything beyond repeating her mantra:
The other half of her mantra:
Please call me Senator
Please call me Senator
Please call me Senator
I would like to believe that Boxer is toast, but when I look at Rasmussenreports.com and realclearpolitics.com, I see Boxer has opened up a 5 or 6% lead over Carly. Also (I live in CA) I have noticed Boxer has nearly twice as many TV ads as does Carly. Boxer even advertises heavily on Fox News. Boxer is defining Carly as a CEO who outsourced HP jobs to other countries then enriched herself with corporate jets and higher pay. Carly has yet to refute this which causes me some concern in that she is allowing Boxer to define her. Unless Carly goes on OFFENSE SOON, I think we’re in deep caca.
“Babs Boxhead distinguished itself once by dressing-down a U.S. General and American hero, insisting that he call it Senator, remember?”
Wouldn’t it be great if Boxer lost and that US General called her up and said “Hello, M’aam”.
I for one do not see that as a bad thing, when one considers the alternative: Lot's of Legislation with Boxer's name all over it.
Yes, I know Carly is playing that mantra for those in the middle, I just hope it works!
Carly was a horrible choice for the GOP.
Carly has given it a tough fight, but she’s going to need a sudden and significant game-changer at this point to have a chance. As its taxing and regulatory policies displace businesses to other states, the proportion of the dependent class grows in California... a dynamic that plays right into Boxer’s hands.
Approval of 0bama rates consistently in the mid- to high 50s in CA. The “e-e-e-evil rich people,” i.e., business owners, are taking it upside the head and are migrating to friendlier lands... and apparently the majority of people out there like it that way. Never mind that state is going to crash hard as a result.
> Wouldnt it be great if Boxer lost and that US General
> called her up and said Hello, Maam.
I would PAY to see that, and I’m broke!
I voted for chuck DeVore in the primary. But he was not even in the race. NOT ONE SINGLE TV commercial. California elections are fought and won on TV. Retail politics is next to impossible in state with nearly 40 million people.
Carly beats Boxer in the debates but that not what the public here sees. They only care what the LA Times says. Most of the media in California still support this awful awad of a human. After 18 years you would think that a person in her position would be held accountable for the situations we are in which are NOT good. But not California. To the graveyard they will walk with Boxer.
Yes they want to keep their libtard ideas and want the rest of the country to bail them out. Screw them. Give that cesspool of a once great state back to Mexico.
It would be even better if the General appeared on TV and said, concerning now-private-citizen Boxer,
“I don’t even feel like calling you `Ma’am’ now, you whacked out floppyfaced sixties leftover hippie chick drug using LOSER!!”
