In statewide elections in California today 10/04/10, as early voting begins, 3 high-profile contests are fiercely fought, separated by 5 or fewer points, according to this latest exclusive SurveyUSA polling for KABC-TV Los Angeles, KPIX-TV San Francisco, KGTV-TV San Diego, and KFSN-TV Fresno.
In the race for US Senator, incumbent Democrat Barbara Boxer clings today to a narrow 46% to 43% advantage. Compared to an identical SurveyUSA poll released 12 days ago, Boxer is down 3 points; Republican Carly Fiorina is flat. Seniors are moving toward Boxer; voters under age 50 are giving Fiorina another look.
In the race for the open Governor's seat, Democrat Jerry Brown clings today to a narrow 47% to 43% advantage. Brown is up a nominal point since the previous poll; Republican Meg Whitman is flat.

Except for getting rid of Boxer, I could care less about California. If they want to elect crooks and idiots, let them. They’ll get what they deserve.
Yes BUT is CA goes under WE will bail them out!
If CA votes for socialists I hope they get what they deserve, complete and total collapse.
The Democrat Party will have a future dilema. If they get rid of the elderly, the most-costly drain on ObamaCare, they’ll be burying a lot of their voters. Of course, being Democrats, they can still vote in most places.
A California bailout only happens with a RAT infested House.
“If CA votes for socialists I hope they get what they deserve, complete and total collapse.”
Actually, I agree with you, and I live in CA. However, the fact that the democRATS are going after Meg Whitman with everything they’ve got makes me like her even more. I think she will win. Boxer is scared, too, and is a pit bull in her attacks against Fiorina. I am pleased that the dems are scared.
We’ll see . . . .
The elderly are the most anti Democrat vote, of all age groups though.
I just checked the 2004 election specifically for California and it seems that the boomers are just a little more anti democrat than the elderly, but it is not by a lot, but the reality is that all age groups here vote Democrat.
The only large demographic group that is conservative, and they are overwhelmingly so, is the group called Protestant.
Indeed California has the most uneducated voters in the union note how they have voted for the last twenty years.
idiots and proud of it waiting fo free lunch and unicorns.
