A crack addict was found guilty today of carrying out a nightmare home invasion that lead to the brutal deaths of a mother and her two young daughters. Steven Hayes was convicted of six capital crimes, all of which are punishable by death.
The 47-year-old career criminal was found guilty of 16 of 17 charges, including the murder of Jennifer Hawke-Petit and her daughters Hayley, seventeen, and Michaela, eleven.

I hope too that he gets what he deserves, I also hope he comes to know his savior before he is put to death.
His only hope now is to find Allah and ask for a presidental pardon.
Hayes got the death penalty,so what.The Last guy that died at the hands of the state was Micheal Ross.He was a Serial killer that murdered eight woman if I’m correct.
He had to sue the State of Connecticut to be put to death because they refused to kill him.
The death row here is a joke and it’s only getting larger.
Who knows. But really, is JUST finding God a way into heaven? I sometimes wonder really if God actually sends some of these people to hell. They should have found and followed the law, if not be religious.
If you look at the thief on the cross next to Christ, you know that answer. I’m sure he heard about Jesus while he was out doing bad stuff. This is part of what makes His sacrifice so amazing.
It’s never to late to have a true change of heart and be saved. However, being human and inclined to evil, we must always pay here on earth for what we have done.
That is why I said hope he finds his savior before he is put to death. I honestly don’t wish hell on anyone, no matter how mad I get.
I did remember reading that there is no crime that God can’t forgive and that it is the height of arrogance to think otherwise. All I know, is that he needs to find God and not Allah.
Since he’s a career criminal, he should have been permanently locked up a long time ago.
Let's see what kind of penance he's willing to pay. Say, several hundred beatings at the hand of his fellow inmates. I would hope that there is some justice before he "finds God".

He got convicted, but the penalty phase of the trial (when he could get the death penalty) hasn’t happened yet.
Response: No he will not get what he deserves. He will receive the following: complete care,outside trips and conjugal visits by a different woman each week all at taxpayer expense and for the next five years. Then with, trembling hands and lips, with their eyes filled with tears, an Appellate court will reverse the jury finding of guilt and order him released. He will then have a book ghost written which will earn him $150,000,000, and a movie on his life which will gross him $455,000,000. He will then be elected to public office and serve until he retires. On his retirement day he will be honored and praised and given a pension of $675,000,000 and a house. The financing will be by all lobbyists he has benefited over his years of public service and ,of course, the long suffering taxpayer. Finally, full of honors and with laudatory public testaments he shall die mouthing about Geezuss. As a result, according to some, he shall ascend into heaven and sit on the right hand of the Good Lord. He shall come later and help judge the quick and the dead.
In the meantime those that he killed, having died before they could mouth about Geezuss, are cast into the lake of fire where their worm dieth not. They have no book or movie about their lives, do not receive a taxpayer funded pension and are not honored by their fellow man.
Such is life, in America, in 2010 AD.
I doubt that his victims went to hell. God cannot possibly be that sick. To bad we can’t export our criminals to China for htem to deal with. Would make up the trade deficit. I think the reason he won’t get death is because lawyers now have the ability to convince juries that they are culpable if they sentence him to death. Which isn’t true.
