VANITY: My reply to an email from Wayne LaPierre
Vanity ^ | 10-5-2010 | My own sef

Wayne you sorry bastard,

I will never ever forgive you and Chris Cox for trying to save the Democrat's asses in this election.

Actually I figured you out when you endorsed Brad Carson over Tom Coburn in Oklahoma's Senate election a few years ago. At the same time you endorsed Arlen Specter over Pat Toomey.

I can't believe you now have the gall to try to sell me something.

Just bugger off.

Sincerely,

OKSooner, "Northeastern Oklahoma"

I’m a life member. It’s over. NRA is not what I signed up for they continue to solicit me for money every month, it’s like the Susan G. Komen Breast cancer program. It totally about the money. NRA spends it to some pro-gun programs and then makes idiots of themselves by backing Reid in Nevada. Kromen spends money on breast cancer, puts money in their pockets and sends the rest to Planned Parenthood, AKA Abortion clinics. You do the math.

For me it was when the nra ila donated to the murtha campaign. I could understand an endorsement putting expediency over principle but a donation?

murtha never gave a damn about the 2nd amendment. He just paid lip service to it because of his “redneck district.”

These other democrats the nra is endorsing are all the same. none of them give a damn about the 2nd or liberty, they just throw away a few votes so they can use an nra edorsement to dupe their “redneck constituents.”

Charlton Heston was my president, not that punk lapierre. I’m in the GOA now.

Reid, as a despicable person as he might be has a strong history of being ‘pro-gun’. That’s all they base their endorsements on. As I said, they are in no way partisan or ideological.

The outrage over the NRA merely -considering- endorsing Harry Reid should serve as a warning sign that tunnel vision will get them in trouble in the long term if they even think about pulling a stunt like that again.

Their angry members’ concerns weren’t unfounded. You can tell me how the NRA makes its decisions as many times as you’d like, but I still maintain that it’s a mistake for them to place their trust in liberal candidates when they’ve proven they’re willing to sacrifice their so-called ‘convictions’ in the interests of advancing big government.

The NRA, like it or not, has conservatives as its base; I doubt many liberals or wishy-washy ‘moderates’ (liberals in denial) would give it credibility regardless of how many Democrats they endorse. Mark my words: by courting liberal candidates, they’re alienating their base just like the GOP elite and they’ll suffer the same consequences at some point if they stay the course.

If a senator, or especially congressman betrays the NRA, they WILL lose the next election. It almost never fails. I'm certain that Al Gore lost TN because of the NRA/firearms owning voters. That cost him the presidency. I also understand that many dems lost in 1994 because of their anti-gun votes. They remember this, and it has them scared to death. With this radical leftist house and presidency during the past two years, how many anti-gun bills have passed? ZERO. This issue has been 'won'. The politicians are afraid to touch it.

If a dem, as liberal and wrong on everything else as they might be just happens to be ‘pro-2nd’, they will endorse them.

You do know they endorsed Harry Reid, don't you?

In the long run, I believe that helps their credibility all around, as they are focused on one single issue and nothing else. <<

and hence, I believe...You AND the NRA Can’t see the forest for the trees...

I understand that, but he sides will all the ledgistration that is anti-2nd Amendment and they know that and still support him. That is why I will not send any more money to the NRA. They can keep their pins, belt buckles and hats.

Welcome to GOA! I'm just passing along a favor which another Freeper did for me.

I called it quits on the NRA back in the 2006 election when they bought radio advertising to rescue Murtha's sorry a** in the final days of the election.

The NRA board of directors need to take action and change the policy of endorsing US House members who have voted for anti-gun Speakers of the House. It seem like the hired heads of the NRA have been in place so long, they have become just like the elite, wheeler-dealer politicians.

Read this:

NRA may stop GOP from taking the House?

If a dem, as liberal and wrong on everything else as they might be just happens to be ‘pro-2nd’, they will endorse them. Especially if they are incumbents, or have established records. They don’t pay attention to which party a candidate is from.

But, any member of the House who has voted for Nancy Pelosi for Speaker IS NOT PRO-GUN, PRO-CONSTITUTION or PRO-FREEDOM.

The NRA is endorsing these Democrats over Republican State Legislators with exemplary state pro-gun records. There is also the dirty little fact that Pelosi allows Democrats from conservative districts to vote against her if she doesn't need their vote to pass anti-gun, anti-conservative legislation.

The NRA needs to just keep their mouth shut if this is as good as they can do.

AND...... Some people and the NRA don’t realize that a bloodless coup has occured in this country. The Marxist are now in control. They also need to realize that Marxism and private gun ownership are not compatible. If the Marxist remain in power, it is just a matter of time until they move against citizen gun owners. It is part of who they are. Part of their plan. Just look back in history.

And if this happens, we can thank the NRA. Maybe Wayne and Chris will be appointed Obama’s gun confiscation Czars.

The NRA is NOT a PARTISAN organization.

NRA doesn’t stand for National Republican Association.

If a dem, as liberal and wrong on everything else as they might be just happens to be ‘pro-2nd’, they will endorse them. Especially if they are incumbents, or have established records. They don’t pay attention to which party a candidate is from.

I know it can be infuriating at times, but that’s how it is. They are a single issue organization.

That would make sense if the rats they support really supported the 2nd Amendment. In 2nd Amendment cases, it always comes down to judges. Rats will always blackball a pro-2nd Amendment judge in favor of a lib who believes in a "living constitution". The NRA insults our intelligence by claiming they support the 2nd regardless of party. Pro-2nd Amendment rats are as sincere as pro-life rats.

So the NRA tell you to vote for someone like harry reid who supports some of your legislative efforts, but who in turn votes to confirm judges who are blatantly anti-gun and whole heatedly supports bureaucracies like the ATF, kind of short sighted don’t you think?

Pro-Obamacare

Pro-Open Borders

Anti-Gitmo

Pro Cap and Trace

You are saying we should just accept that the NRA gives the guy their nod because he is “Pro 2A”?

That is exactly what they emailed me back. No refunds. I will probably keep the membership but cancel the magazine and unsubscribe from all of LaPierre’s junk mail. Its worth it for the insurance.
