I ran the Magnifier over that BUFF, and given the height and shape of the rudder, that’s probably a grounded museum piece. Probably an “A” or “B” model. I think the AF only flies the “G” or “H” models, and they have shorter, stockier rudders.
Fairchild AFB in Spokane, WA has a similar BUFF parked in the middle of a park on base next to an F-105 “Thud”. It has a red star on it’s side because it’s the ONLY ‘52 to have confirmed a kill with it’s tailguns of a North Vietnamese fighter.

Consider how “old” this technology is that you’re looking at...
visited an airbase for these, and they were pretty adamant about “no pictures of the back of the aircraft”, I wonder if something has been shopped out of the above photo...
