New high gas mileage standard could make vehicles cost more, less safe

So they are not “real” cars...they are cars with enough room for you and your baguette.

So having more than two seats is the definition of a car for you? That rules out a LOT of sports cars.

I see a few “Smart” cars here and the occupants look like the cartoon at the lead of this thread.

There's more driver room in a Smart than most small cars. I know Smarts aren't for all circumstances. They weren't designed for all circumstances. But for what they were designed for, as city cars, they are very good. And as opposed to a Vespa, and some other larger cars, they have a real-car quality feel to them. Just don't try to haul timber or race one.
