Homosexual activists, GOProud attack Jim DeMint: "Trying His Best to Make Alvin Greene Look Sane"
GOProud ^ | Oct 5, 2010 | JImmy LaSalvia

Posted on 10/06/2010 6:58:08 PM PDT by DesertRenegade

On Friday, United States Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC) told a crowd in South Carolina that he supports barring openly gay teachers, as well as sexually active unmarried female teachers, from the school system. “Jim DeMint’s comments can only be described as outrageous and bizarre. The idea that someone who says they believe in limited government would support the government weeding out gay teachers and unmarried sexually active female teachers simply defies logic,” said Christopher R. Barron, Chairman of the GOProud Board. “Jim DeMint is doing his best to make Alvin Greene look sane.”

“A real limited government conservative would be talking about getting the government less involved in education – not more involved. Instead of talking about shutting down the Department of Education, supporting school choice and protecting parents’ rights to homeschool their children, Jim DeMint instead wants the government even more involved in our education system, and involved in a way that would invade the personal lives of every teacher in this country,” continued Barron.

DeMint’s comments come on the heels of increased media attention to the problem of bullying of gay teenagers and the tragically high rates of gay teen suicide. “At a time when we need to be having a serious discussion about the silent epidemic of gay teen suicide, Jim DeMint’s comments send a powerful and disturbing message to people all across the country,” said Jimmy LaSalvia, Executive Director of GOProud. “For a man who speaks a great deal about morality, Jim DeMint’s comments represent some of this most morally reprehensible comments made by a politician in modern history.”

“It is clear that the socially conservative big government wing of the Republican Party is desperate to undermine and co-op the message and enthusiasm of the tea party movement. After a year and a half of attacking the tea party movement for not being focused on their pet issues, it is clear that Tony Perkins and his crowd have embraced a new strategy – if you can’t beat’em, join’em. The tea party movement is about limiting the size and scope of the government and empowering indiviudals. The grassroots tea party activists should reject attempts by Washington Republicans like Jim DeMint to corrupt the movement’s conservative message,” concluded LaSalvia.

Actually, homosexuality is “contagious” - no one is born homosexual, most are recruited by being molested when they are young.

If Reagan saw what the homosexual agenda was up to now, he’d change his veiwpoint I am sure.

IF he actually said this, he’s lost my vote.

He DID say it. Later he said he should never have made public his private thoughts.

What I want to know is what he thinks about "sexually active MALE teachers". Can they be sexually active, but not females?

Moderate Repubs lose elections. That’s the simple truth. Going wobbly on social issues guarantees losses.

He said single pregnant teachers.

Well, obviously, that's a completely different question - a horse of a different color. I should think he would see the difference.

Why would he have an issue with sexually active females, but not male?

And, in saying that, I am assuming the original comment was accurate.

Better to stand for the truth and go down fighting.

The only way "anyone would learn of an unmarried sexually active female teacher" is if she bragged about it.

That is not the ONLY way someone would learn it. Having lived in a small town for a very short period of time, the neighbors may notice activity that they don't condone.

And what about sexually active males?

GOProud is obviously filled with folks who are delusional. Jim DeMint makes me proud of our country, for a change! Just wish those policies he speaks of would actually come to be.

Thank you.

That is a horse of a different stripe. The original post apparently did not quote accurately.

And, as I have pointed out, DeMint has regretted it.

Okay, how about male teachers who have impregnated female teachers but refuse or have not married them?

What difference does it make? Do you think his opinion is going to be made into law? Really? It reminds me of the morons that sat out the 2008 election because, well, they just couldn’t bring themselves to vote for McCain. No wonder we are in serious trouble.

I Googled “DeMint teachers” and came up with lots of articles. None of them really matched. But then, apparently this is not the first time DeMint referenced sexually active teachers.

I admit many, if not most of the quotes may be totally wrong. Some mentioned “pregnant” and some did not.

I LIKE DeMint.

But if you can’t understand the difference between sexually active females and sexually active males, I truly cannot help you.

Ask DeMint.

There are three important points.

1. Barron is a militant homosexual activisist, as are all the people connected with GOProud and the Log Cabin “Republicans”. They are concerned only with “gay” issues. Therefore whatever they state or (mis)quote must be seen in that light.

2. If we want to know exactly what DeMint’s views are, we need to find out directly from him and not from the enemies of conservatism.

3. It is important that teachers be of good character, good role models, and not just smart at their subject matter. This was known throughout history, since they will influence those they teach. Character counts!

Actually, homosexuality is “contagious”

I know what you mean, but I really wish you could come up with another way of putting that. Calling it contagious offers hope of a vaccine and that might be just enough to cast someone who is on the fence right into the lake of fire, so to speak.

I know you mean well, though. :)

That is the stupidest statement I’ve seen you make. Who is arguing that point? Frankly I couldn’t care less about sexually active people. What I do care about is getting people in Congress that is going to stop this freaking marxist. You worry what’s between your legs more though...and how unfair it is that someone stated an opinion about sexually active females and didn’t mention men. If that’s more important in your mind than you are the one that needs help.

And dear, I can’t help you if you can’t see what is at stake ...that is other than what’s between your legs.

Guess your for homosexuals too.
