Will Sarah Palin endorsement be Carly Fiorina's albatross?
CS Monitor ^ | 10/6/10 | Amanda Paulson

Much has been made of Sarah Palin’s impact in elections this year – and whether her endorsement was what made the difference for Joe Miller in Alaska, Christine O’Donnell in Delaware, and numerous other candidates.

But her stamp of approval may not always be a help, especially when it comes to the general election.

A new poll in California found that Ms. Palin is a highly polarizing figure there and that most Californians view her negatively.

What “hissy fit”?

Chuck was gentlemanly and restrained considering the crap Fiorina did to him. Filing phony ethics charges against him with the state FPPC. Challenging his record as a reservist and implying he lied about his record, making fun of him during the debates — claiming she had all the conservative support and he was “dog-paddling.”

And despite all of her BS, DeVore had only nice things to say in his concession speech.

Please tell me what you think was “unmanly” and “immature.”

"There is only one reason conservatives don't win in California: their own party apparatus won't lift a finger to put them on the ballot. (And if they get there on their own, they stab them in the back and sabotage their campaign)."

By now, this should have become as plain as the ass on a goat except, of course, to the Big Tent RINO Central (RNC/NRCC/NRSC) Rockefeller Republican contingent on FR. They just keep getting sucked in to vote for the "R" no matter what because of the "just win, baby" mantra of the CAGOP and the rest of the establishment GOP. They just keep yanking on that "least worst" lever.

Caifornia is a basket case of the first order, billions in debt, overrun by violent illegals/gangs, a dead end for private business, and about to return Jerry Brown (!!) to the state house. It’s in freefall. There’s nothing there for Sarah Palin to gain one way or the other—no Republican could possibly win there in 2012 anyway. And Fiorina isn’t going anywhere—she’s the weak “Democrat” in a two-Democrat race.

“Liberal California”, the “best we can do”, a “conservative can’t win”...

The same old tired phrases from out of staters who have no clue or who buy into the BS spewed by the RINO tent.

Add to the RNC/NRCC/NRSC list Rove’s new “Crossroads” groups, the RMSP, the CRP, the New Majority, and the Chambers of Commerce who have very little interest in honest commerce.

I know you know all that, but every 100th time some freeper laments about how Mr./Ms. so-and-so is the ‘best we can hope for’, I feel obliged to educate, or at least try.

Hide and watch!

Fiorina must win on her own because of all the negatives that go along with being a republican in a democrate state.

IT was around that time that my suspicions about the Coronation Crowd here were confirmed.

That “hissy fit” mantra was a major talking point from the crowd and no one ever would support it with any facts.

I do pretty good until we get close to the next election cycle. Then when I see the same people showing up with the same GOP establishment crib notes, I get uptight all over again.

GOP establishment crib notes

LOL.

You'd think with all the money and effort they put into it, they could come up with some new material.

Alas...

Today's OC Register endorses Carly Fiorina.

Is this what we're down to now--warmed over big business "moderates"?

Of course, the Boxer/Carly decision is a far easier one than Meg/Jerry (I'm probably going with the Tea Party on that one). Hark! Here come the "wasting your vote" Big Tent RINO Central ankle-biters...

I think the SD Union-Tribune endorsed her as well. And the LA Daily News from the heart of la-la land endorsed her. Even the SF Chron wouldn’t endorse Boxer, choosing not endorse anyone (while saying flattering things about Fiorina).

All that was offered was big business “moderates” (i.e. liberals) or rabid leftists. A sad state of affairs, for sure.
