Skol!! Great analysis!
The minute the Vikes leave that dome and go outside, I will be their biggest fan.
That will not change.
Thanks for the ping!
logical reason for what looks like laziness to the fan?
Would it be that Randy’s about as rich as he needs to be, and he doesn’t much care about team success or playoff wins?
You obviously missed my whole point.
Tell you what, why don’t you run just 3 100 yard sprints, and then when i see you being a bit slower on the 3rd one, I’ll just say you are lazy and you don’t care about playing anymore.
As I pointed out he runs farther in one game than anby other player on the field. Maybe, just maybe, he deserves a bit of a breather.
Now you will say then take him out. What you fail to understand is, just his presence in the line up causes the defensive coordinator to be prepared for him to possibly run. So while the offensive coaches knows, and admits that sometimes he takes it easy because he is winded, they leave him in for a psychological battle of wits with the def.
The very possibility that Randy could take one to the house when not covered is enough to occupy one, two, and even three defenders at times. Especially if you are playing a team that does not have good corners.
So how do you stop the run properly if three men are watching Randy? Yoiu don’t, so with a great RB like Smith was, and now AP is even better, well... Just watch what happens Monday night. I expect AP to get well over 100 yards.
Also, don’t be surprised if Moss gets a few long TDs as Favre and Moss catch Rex Ryan loading the box with 8 men to either sack Favre, or stop AP.
"OV", I am not giving anyone a raise this year"Then two days later I read in the papers and hear on the radio that my co-worker just got a raise.
After the very first post game interview he ranted about himself and his desire for a new contract. It was inappropriate.
I'll concede that Moss signed on the cheap 3 years ago for a measly 27 Million. He clearly deserved 28 Million.
If you really watched him at all last year it was evident that he was regularly in a foul mood and made several half hearted attempts at actually catching excellent passes.
We all saw it.
The man has great talent and he does some good things, but on the field, it is all about him.
Belichick sent him home after he arrived late following a few snow flurries and I think that was intended to send Moss et al a message. This team does not center around a single player. Well certainly not around a wide receiver.
Maybe this second chance in Minnesota will be what he needs to realize that a Team in the NFL includes more than just 53 players plus Coaches.
You gotta win the crowd.
Moss could have done that with ease by keeping his mouth running a bit slower than he did during games.
He didn't, he's gone, good riddance.
He is poison. You'll see.
Funny how things change so quickly, I was hanging out talking about the Vikes and the next thing I know I am riding in the car doing 85 mph to the big city for the OR they have waiting for me.
I stepped on a nail on wed afternoon, no biggie at all. Thurs morn I called clinic and couldn’t get in till 2pm. My foot was hurting more than it should have and was swelling. Still wasn’t too worried but thinking I needed antibiotics or something. She came in, looked at it, asked what time I did it, and left. Seemed odd I have never seen her be rude at all. She comes back in 3 minutes later and says they are waiting for you at the big city ER (70 miles away) and they will hold an OR for me as soon as one is open. I’m pretty sure my mouth was hanging open.
I had to pick up my husband at work so he could take me, and they literally were waiting for me when I got there. I said my name and rushed me back. I was in the OR within 30 minutes of getting to the ER. I am still in the hospital, hoping to be able to be discharged tomorrow, Sunday. They are still growing whatever is in my foot so they can send me home with the most effective antibiotics. For now I am on broad spectrum IV antibiotics. The TV stinks so I am really hoping to be home for Mondays game.
I didn’t think you were waiting around on the thread for me but it seemed to me I kinda left unexpectedly. And if it the message seems disjointed, I am on good pain meds so sorry.
I have eaten purple birthday cake for the last 22 years.
Wow, so what exactly did you step on? A nail? Sure seems they were extra worried about it.
I stepped on a nail when I was like 12. The next day I was in so much pain at school the teacher looked at it and was actually shocked as hi face turned sour looking.
I knew my foot was a bit colored and sore, but the look on his face scared ,me more than my foot.
He called my Mom, and she showed up in a cab. He carried me from the class to her car and off to the OR I went.
They gave me a tetanus shot and sent me home. I was fine the next day as I recall. This was back in 1968.
So my prayers are with you and let’s both keep our fingers crossed for the Vikes.
God bless you. I understand people cannot get back right away at times.

Not only did I step on the nail but I stepped hard enough for it to hit the bone. When I looked after I did it I had clear liquid seeping from the puncture wound. From what I hear now that is bad. I guess that if an infection gets to the bone it spreads very quick, so they treat it very aggressively. In my case they did surgery to open it up, clean it out, and pack it so it can drain.
I do know that my 5 sons are hanging their heads in shame that their mom was out cleaning up the yard and that is when she stepped on the nail. I should have lots of points when I get home and maybe even never have to clean up the yard ever again.
To the bone... Ouch.
I don’t remember the pain so much as I do have a reminder of that day every now and then when I feel a sharp pain right where the nail entered my foot. I was with a friend and we were swimming in the St Lawrence River. On the way back to hi house I jumped over so0me RR tracks and when I landed a nail went right through my sneaker and into the middle of my foot. While the scar is almost unnoticeable today, I can locate it easily when I feel the sharp pain.
No one ever told me when I went to the ER for the tetanus shot that I might have hit a nerve, but years later when I mentioned the pain to my doctor, he told me that I may have.
So how long is the prognosis for healing. Also, you can thank God that he allowed this to happen now and not after Obama’s death care destroys our medical society.
momto6, and you have 5 boys. Am I right to say you must have at least one daughter?
If so then you probably will have at least a Clara Barton to help nurse you back to full health while your sons are cleaning up the yard.
I pray all goes well for you and yours, God bless.
Go Vikes.
