Twenty-nine year-old Tiffany Hartley says her husband was shot in the head by Mexican pirates earlier this week while the couple was riding jet skis on Falcon Lake at the Texas-Mexico border.
Claiming her husband fell face first in the water and that she tried to pull him out, Tiffany blamed God for why she left him and fled to safety. "I just keep hearing God tell me 'You have to go, you have to go'", she told one reporter.
No doubt God speaks to people in times of crisis, but it's a bit convenient that He advised her to save her own skin. Let's just say that's not necessarily the Godly thing to do.
But even if there's an ethic there that makes religious sense, there are lots of hard facts that make it very difficult to believe anything about Tiffany Hartley's story.
First, there is no evidence, other than Tiffany's word, that her husband was even on the water at all, much less in a jet ski getting shot in the head. He was reportedly wearing a life vest, which means his body should have been seen by someone by now, as it floated to shore someplace along the Lake's edge. It hasn't. And nobody heard motors or gunshots or saw anyone removing things from the water. While it's possible pirates might take a person for ransom and steal a jet ski for cash value, it takes time to lug people and heavy objects out of the water. Nobody saw any of it.

I always do what the voices in my head tell me to do.
They even know which gang controls the lake.
Me too.
Aaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!
Why am I not surprised that a former prosecutor may be a little conspiratorial. I believe Ms. Hartley absent further information.
It takes time to lug people and heavy objects out of the water. It isn’t like a pirate has a job to go to or anything, the Mexicans I work with won’t stael anything they can’t pack drag or carry.
Guilty
Polygraph??
Mexican pirates stealing a jet ski, I don’t know. Can you lower a jet ski?
We’ll know in 48 hours when Gov. Perry sends in Chuck Norris.
I was thinking exactly the same thing....why do people go to these places infested with bad guys and then feel sorry for themselves when something bad happens.
Shame on Wendy Murphy - as usual, she is full of b.s. The Mexican terrorists wanted David Hartley’s jet ski. It was a very expensive and high powered jet ski and that was the motive for killing him. David had a kill switch on his life jacket. It is likely that his life jacket was removed in order for them to steal the jet ski - which is why his body hasn’t been found afloat.
The criminals must have decided to go after Tiffany after all for her jet ski or just the mere pleasure of killing another American. She was very fortunate to get away.
I have fished this lake and I can tell you it's a big stretch of water where this occurred. That no one observed this incident is no surprise to me. It's my guess that these so called pirates were young teenagers who were having some jolly sport, attempting to see who could hit the Gringo's. Then, after killing the husband, pulled the body in the boat and stole the jet ski. The body will not be found and the jet ski will disappear into the same void as the hundreds of F-150’s and F-250’s stole out of Texas each year. Btw, the sport of “let's see who can hit the Gingo” is not a new one. About twenty years ago there was an incident on the stretch of Rio Grande in Big Bend Park where a couple of young Mexicans perched up on the cliffs shot and killed a guy who was rafting through the area. As with this incident on Falcon, his wife attempted to rescue him but was pinned down by the perp’s fire. Consequently, she had to watch him die, unable to get to him until some other rafters came along.
“Can you lower a jet ski?”
Well, you sure as hell can’t put 13” Daytons and whitewall tires on one!
Only the msm does that. People in Texas KNOW the violence has already slithered across the border.
Count me in agreement that her story just doesn’t ring true. In the beginning of the interview, she spoke of her husband in the present tense. “He likes, he does, he is, etc.” Then when asked about the accusations against her, she changed to past tense. “He was, he had, etc.”
And most suspiciously, she paused to turn on some tears and looked up and to the right before saying that she loved him.
People retrieving memories don’t look up and to the right. They do that when they’re making up stories. I don’t believe her.
It might have been Obi Wan Kenobi that she heard telling her to run.
“One witness said he saw Tiffany as she rode her jet ski toward shore, seemingly distraught and followed by a group of men in a boat. He also said Tiffany asked him to call 911 and told him someone had shot her husband.”
So, lets speculate that she killed her husband because, well, Mexican pirates don’t randomly kill people with a lucky head shot. And distraught widows don’t suck up to TV hostesses.
The voices in my head are MUCH MORE RELIABLE than the voices on the network and cable news channels.
