People retrieving memories don’t look up and to the right. They do that when they’re making up stories.

Where in the world did THAT 'factoid' come from?

The first question that comes to my mind is how much life insurance did he carry? How much was he worth dead although he might not be dead.

We had a case where a British couple fled to Panama after he faked a boating accident out at sea.

She collected on his life insurance. She bought a home and other nice stuff.

When he arrived to join her, he found she had a boyfriend. What to do. He was legally dead.

A kill switch on his life jacket?

Some people put them on a wristband. Some folks clip them to their jacket.

People in Texas KNOW the violence has already slithered across the border.

But, but, but, the administration says the border is safer than ever.

Try it out. Recall a memory. Where did you look? Up and to the left? Now fabricate a memory as if explaining your whereabouts to a spouse/parent/boss. Where did you look?

“Anybody who has seen this woman on TV can’t (if they are half-way intelligent) doubt her story”

Sorry but I believed her story up to the time I saw the interview. Crying with no tears has been my yardstick for a long time and it has never let me down. Now that doesn’t mean that if you have tears I automatically believe you.(Cue my ex-wife and her boyfriend)

I know it is tough to believe this kind of evil can exist in people that we have known and trust but and I will paraphrase a movie line from The Usual Suspects....

“Satan’s greatest trick was to convince people he doesn’t exist”.

Who’s got more reason to kill you than your spouse?

I always do what the voices in my head tell me to do.

I am sure glad the woman who wrecked the Jesus-BJ "art" exhibit in Colorado listened to the voices in HER head

I was thinking exactly the same thing....why do people go to these places infested with bad guys and then feel sorry for themselves when something bad happens.

The Hartleys lived in Mexico for 2 years, and were comfortable inside Mexican territory. They just picked the way wrong part of it to hang out in.

I have fished this lake and I can tell you it's a big stretch of water where this occurred. That no one observed this incident is no surprise to me.

The lake is HUGE. No one would have seen shit. Murphy is an idiot. To this Beantown broad, the Charles River is a big river.

think how handy it would be if you actually read the information you cited: i did and it said this:

“Let’s say your child asks you for a cookie, and you ask: “Well, what did your mother say?” As they reply “Mom said... yes.”, they look to the left. This would indicate a made up answer as their eyes are showing a “constructed image or sound. Looking to the right would indicated a “remembered” voice or image, and thus would be telling the truth.

Don't know much about Routier.

But back to this liar, she told the press they fled because the "mexican pirates" had guns. This she claims she knew before she mentions any shots fired and they were at least 200 yards away. So how'd she know they had guns or even that they were mexican pirates? I think she catches herself here and quickly added "I didn't personally see them" and said she fled with her husband because he motioned to her to go. She busted herself there because she wanted to establish they (the fictional pirates) had guns to shoot her husband with, but at that point she would have had no way to know that.

That's just one of many things in her accounts to the press that clearly show her to be lying. Trust me the police love the fact she is making the TV rounds. More opportunities like the one i mentioned for them to get the goods on her. It's actually amazing so many people believe her but it fits a political and racial template. That's why she chose the Mexican pirate tale to begin with, much like Charles Stuart blamed it on a black guy and Runaway Bride said Mexicans in a van took her.

"This is the same left-winger who still claims the Duke Lacrosse players are guilty."

She also served as the mouthpiece for Lucia Whalen who placed the call to 911 to report suspected activity at the home of Harvard professor Henry Luis Gates. In that case, Ms. Murphy went far out of her way to indicate that Whalen was not engaging in any type of profiling.

In this case, Murphy is profiling. Either profiling is ok or it's not, Ms. Murphy.

Now, I don't have a problem with profiling, based on statistical indicators, and the spouse needs to be vetted, but not to the exclusion of all other possibilities. I'm an insurance fraud investigator and have been for about 10 years. There are several (statistical) indicators of fraud here, but there are also several reported incidents of cross-border violence on this lake. I personally would refuse to give my opinion on this one until I had more info, and posted merely to point out the intellectual inconsistency and faux moral indignation of the writer, Ms. Murphy.

Frome your link:

Up and to the Right Indicates: Visually Remembered Images (Vr) If you asked someone to "What color was the first house you lived in?", this would be the direction their eyes moved in while thinking about the question as they "Visually Remembered" the color of their childhood home.

Ditto what you said. There are people who will kill you for your shoes right here in the good ol US of A let alone in Mexico. For a $10,000 jet ski, hell, they would wipe out a whole town for those if they thought they could get away with it.

I’m assuming you intended that post for me. Since you read it you will note that it it references which point of view the author is writing about - looking at someone.

Tiffany looked up and to her right, not my right, which confirms the information cited. Looking up and to your left indicates remembering. Looking up and to the right indicates fabrication.

It might have been Obi Wan Kenobi that she heard telling her to run.

Don't look at me. I didn't say nuttin' to her!
