Your post at #74 was excellent and on target
I compliment you. I also compliment combat_boots.
combat_boots post is at #113. combat_boots post
was also excellent and on target.....mho

At this time I lean toward combat_boots post,
in my life. Kartographer, your post does have
insight and is possibly the actual lay of the field,
though 'may your post not come to bear the lemons'

Believe me I hope and pray I am wrong, but something is nagging in my heart and in my mind in a way that sadly makes me believe that I am right.

Do you not think that the men in Athens, Tennessee on the 2nd of August 1946 agonized about what they were about to do? I don't believe for one minute that these veterans who had already see so much war wanted to see it in the streets of their home town. But what were they to do they had tried legal means and yet to clearly no avail.

I am sure that you can find no war mongers among our Found Fathers and yet they had the foresight to include the Second Amendment in our Constitution, because they were wise enough to know our Republic could and possible would come under a attack that no words or law could stop.

I can not think of any time in the history of our nation, except with the execption of that warm August night in 1946 in Athens Tenessee that these words have rang truer:
"All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing."

I hope in all sincerity that combat_boots is right and words will be enough and I certainly do not wish to trivializing what is at stake here, but I would like to add these lines from the movie 'Open Range' to my post:
Mack: "It's a shame what this town has come to."
Charley: "You could do something about it."
Mack: "What? We're freighters. Ralph here's a shopkeeper."
Charley: "You're men ain't you?"
Mack: "I didn't raise my boys just to see them killed."
Charley: "Well you may not know this, but there's things that gnaw on a man worse than dying."

There are 1000s of men and women working against the policies and illegal actions of this Administration right now.

Good evening, DOJ Blogsquad. Pizza or subs tonight? Don’t spray your soda all over the keyboards there, and take a bath. We can smell you from our PCs.
