Amen. I man of honor, whom we might disagree with, but dang, to have that American loving, grit, good man, SOB, in office again, would be wonderful.
and I mean, SOB, in the down home SouthWestern best sense of the word. Those with a spine will understand.
And somehow, everyone forgets that the guys whole campaign was based on how bad things were. He begged to handle it but now whines because he is in over his head.
‘...Americans will realize the sound, decent, America-loving, dutiful and honorable .. not perfect as NO ONE is .. leader we had in Pres. George W. Bush. We were blessed....’
Oh, Starwise, THANK YOU for this FANTASTIC picture of President Bush!! It’s definitely a keeper! And, your statement is soooo true.....we were blessed.
I second that motion. Not only American loving but, warts and all, there's no doubt that George W. Bush was 100% American. Contrast that with the dubious origins of the current occupant sullying the office.
And even I (a gritty SOB as well) do get a bit misty-eyed when I think of the 2001 Inauguration with President Bush and the always gracious First Lady dancing to Waltz Across Texas.
I know this isn’t a popular sentiment here....
When I see a post about Bush, it seems that so many need to add something about how they disagreed with Bush or how they feel Bush did something bad.
B.S.
President George W. Bush had clarity. President George W. Bush NEVER stood before a group of Americans and bashed another group of Americans. President George W. Bush never stood before a group of Americans and called other Americans silly names. President Bush took his job seriously, President Bush did not encourage Americans to not visit American cities.
Please, no ridiculous comments on how anyone didn’t like something President Bush did. The blame I see directed at President Bush here and other places sickens me a little. It’s probably one of the main reasons I lurked so long before deciding to begin posting.
***Are you implying that Bush bailed out GM? That one was Mr. Skittles, Bush pushed loans to the financial industry for liquidity reasons. It worked too, most of TARP has been repaid. Mr. Skittles bought his union friends auto companies. Big difference.***
Thank you for that one. I’ve been saying approximately the same thing for almost two years now. It was my understanding at the time Bush loaned money to the banks that it was done to allow banks to make loans to businesses to help the economy. The economy was messed up by the Dems with their Fannie and Freddie mortgages. Under Zero, they’ve made it far worse.
I’m glad you decided to start posting.
Amen! This place needs more thinking and less posturing.
(But be prepared to be hit, and hit hard. Bush haters are nasty people!)
Yep. It would be wonderful.
(And I knew what you meant by "SOB." President Bush would approve of the title. :)
What a fabulous picture. When I clicked on Drudge earlier I must admit it took my breath away and I got a lump in my throat. How I miss that man!
Just look at it logically. Curb the emotion—it’s simple.
Bush acted like a conservative sometimes, and like a liberal other times. His liberal actions caused significant damage.
If we sugar coat it, we’re acting like liberals ourselves.
This is an excellent point I didn’t consider
If media did its job someone would have pointed this out:
“He begged to handle it but now whines because he is in over his head.”
Hell - I miss Clinton...
At least JFK was Navy veteran who loved this country, and was an AMERICAN.
He also lowered taxes, and understood that it’s the best way to unleash the economic engine of the country.
Amen! He did do the best he could, and
that was keeping us safe from another
devastating attack after 9/11 .. which
was NEVER predicted.
God bless him .. the gray in his hair
today shows the mighty stress under which
he dutifully lived, never shirked and
worked so hard.
**PS:
Right now, Bob Woodward is on CSPAN-2,
talking about his book, “Obama’s Wars.”
If you haven’t seen him discuss the
state of the WH and the military in
depth lately, WATCH. It is stunning
to hear him actually describe the
state of things. Keep praying for
America.
Yep ... missing him dearly.
"all blacks"? Please don't lump me and the other (estimated) 2 million conservative blacks in with the collectivist, progressive types.
