let’s see, prolly single mother and not white trash.
Kids would have been safer too.
“An Orange County mother pleaded guilty Friday to beating, starving and tying up her two young sons so she could sleep better at night.”
Odd...after beating, starving, and tying up my sons, I think I’d have more trouble sleeping at night.
Pure laziness. She obviously isn’t adverse to corporal punishment so a little discipline with some spanking would have made it quite easy for her to sleep at night, once her sons knew what was expected of them.
this woman has no real imagination for problem solving and cares more about herself than her children. i had this same problem. my (then) 3yr old had a habit of getting up in the middle of the night and wandering around the house. i would get up in the morning and find the back door unlocked, the porch light on, small things in the living room moved around, and leftovers in the fridge half eaten. scared hell outta me and hubbymayhem. i was terrified i would come downstairs some morning and find her choked to death on the kitchen floor. we tried baby gates, she climbed over them. we finally had the great idea of replacing her bedroom door with a screen door that latches on the outside of her doorway. problem solved; no tying, starving, or beating required.
great idea!
There’s also the option of getting one of those motion sensor chimes like they have at convenience stores. Inexpensive and alerts a parent to the movements of the kid(s). A few times getting busted should help the kids learn not to wander around the house at night. Of course, false alarms for bathroom breaks would have to be tolerated.
I just told my kids the boogeyman would get them if they got out of their bed at night.
Not really. But MY mother did. Kept me in my room and bed for sure.
we looked at those but figured that could wake the whole household(the 15yr old wasn’t enthusiastic). we also could not find the thing. since she is so tiny she can use her small personal potty and we don’t have to worry about accidents. for some odd reason this child just cannot sleep thru the night.
I told my kids that if I were to be woken up in the middle of the night by someone wandering around the house in the dark, I'd likely assume he was an intruder and shoot him.
thanks. when it comes to kids you must have 3 things. patience, a sense of humor, and a good imagination.
what she meted out was evil rage.
