Reading some of the responses in this thread, I have to wonder what the h*ll is being taught in certain churches. Where in the Bible does Jesus prescribe gang-raping and torturing the sin out of people?

I'd like to think most of them are trolls who come here and post this crap just to make conservatives look like frothing-at-the-mouth Jesus freaks (because we all know swing voters positively identify with all their hate-filled "fire and brimstone" sputterings).

Fortunately, the people who think this way will never, ever enjoy any measure of power in this country.

you’re right, God doesn’t make mistakes....He created a man. However, He gave that man free will and that man chose to become a sodomite.......God had nothing to do with it!!

Very well said.

Thank you.

There are ample references in the Bible to this being a fallen world; wherein evil things happen. Some you can guard against, some you cannot. Don’t fool yourself, evil abounds. Bad things happen to good people but, if you flirt with evil, evil will, “surely,” befall you!

Yeah, there’s no need to encourage violence.

RED BUD, IL (KMOX)-An illegal alien is being held in the Randolph County jail, charged with sexually assaulting a jogger in the town of Red Bud.

Detective John Brittingham tells KMOX the attack happened at about 1 am Wednesday, as the woman was running on Locust Street.

He says Mateo Gomez-Rosete started running alongside the woman and began talking to her. He says Gomez-Rosete began touching her. He eventually pushed her into a bean field and assaulted her.

Brittingham says after his arrest, Gomez-Rosete admitted he’s here illegally, “He was in possession of a permanent resident card that he stated during an interview that he had received from a friend of his, that he was not here legally.”

Gomez-Rosete was an employee of Tequila’s Mexican Restaurant in Red Bud. The restaurant’s manager tells “The Independent” he had worked there for about a month, but had been fired a few days before the attack. Brittingham says as far as he knows, Gomez-Rosete was still employed there.

Gomez-Rosete is charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault. He’s being held without bond.

Not to mention there are people in this country who actually pay people to do this stuff to them in BDSM chambers.

I’m against gangs, and against torture. And you give these guys what I think they deserve, the only “extra” penalty you could apply for what they were thinking would be for family members to spit on the culprits and watch it sizzle.

I know bad things have always happened, but it seems that people are becoming more and more wicked.

I suspect a lot of it is trolls too. I come from a religious family and go to a conservative church and I know of no one who advocates beating gay people because they are gay. I am against the gay agenda and think a lot of what goes on at “gay pride” parades is sick, but the answer isn’t to beat or hurt people, its to portray a positive, Christian image and to show hedonists—gay or straight—the error of their ways. Anyone who honestly thinks that this poor kid “deserves” to be beaten and sodomized by a gang is sick.

No one has mentioned that the torturers sodomized the victim. How gay is that? I’ve heard that the people who are violent toward gays are often gay themselves.

Do a Google search for Folsom Street Fair (this Princess Pelosi’s district I think) if you have strong stomach. I guess it comes down to consent.

please avoid sweeping generalisations... not all of us are a part of the filthy disease ridden underbelly of the our world.

I for one don’t mind the occasional wrasslin but never anything approaching this.

I don’t think anyone’s saying this “kid,” (who as I understand it is 30-years-old), deserves it. But, if you embrace evil, it is going to manifest itself in ways you never expected! Unless, you live a cloistered existence, you might see that evil is everywhere, in many forms.

OK, that’s not you, but you know what I said is true.
When my son left home he was young and naive to what he was getting into. He moved in with an older man.
He was concerned about my son’s wreckless behavior, in fact, he contacted me and we discussed, in essence, everything in my post.
In less than a year on the streets my son had full blown AIDS. It’s staggering to me that our society wants to turn a blind eye to the reality of homosexuality.
It’s like letting our kids play in the highway, thinking if they get hit by a truck, they’ll get over it.

Every illegal offense these criminals committed requires no “hate crime” by which to prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law. A crime is a crime, but the conversion of a motive (thoughts, feelings, “hate”) into a separate crime leads to the slippery slope of such thoughts alone - even when no action is taken - as being “criminal”.

Yet, when one spouse kills another saying they “hated” their spouse, are they similarly prosecuted for a “hate crime”. No. So, “hate” itself is not even a crime, just hate in some special circumstances. It (”hate crime”) is a perversion of our laws and is against the very core, the very foundation of “freedom of expression”.

The fact that no additional laws are needed to prosecute these criminals demonstrates that “hate crimes” ARE about prosecuting THOUGHTS, not actions, because the actions themselves are illegal, regardless of the motives of the attackers and therefore an absence of a “hate crime” does NOT prevent justice from being given.

Would their victims have been any less entitled to justice, any less of the victim simply if no “anti-gay” sentiments of any kind had occurred? No. So, is there some “greater” justice these victims are entitled to? No. They are entitled to the same justice anyone who sustained such an attack would be, no matter what the motives for such an attack were.

Does the “gay” issue have a rightful place in the prosecution? Yes, in the demonstration of motive, not in the form of presenting THAT motive as a separate “crime”.

The Latin King Goonies would seem to be all homosexual sadists.
That would make this a recapitulation in miniature of the stark division of the homosexual community in Germany in the 20s and 30s into the super macho hiking clubbers and the pansies which the hiking clubbers despised and persecuted. Hitler made use of the macho side for his bully boys and sadistic praetorian guard.
