Not a single proposal by the Obamao would have solved any of America’s economic or national security problems.

NOT A SINGLE ONE

Susan: Sorry! The answer is NOT in the middle!!!!!

What is it about these “moderates”? What “moderate” decision/legislation has every worked well and over time? What liberal/progressive legislation/solution has every worked over time?

Answer: None!

Compromise is not the answer!

You cannot work out a “compromise” with people actively trying to destroy the country and bring about economic collapse.
You have to defeat them.

A historian might say that at least we don’t have one member caning another into unconsciousness, as when Rep. Preston Brooks of South Carolina flogged Sen. Charles Sumner of Massachusetts on the Senate floor in 1856.

Mores the pity.
A good thrashing is what some of them need.

Well Susan, if you position yourself in the center of action and things go badly, then it’s your fault.

we don't have one member caning another into unconsciousness,

What a pity. As a side note, how do you tell with a congress-critter anyway? When concsious, they have a glazed stare and mumble incoherently, when unconscious, they... well, have a glazed stare and mumble incoherently.

Somebody remind me why we need a federal government again? To pay of the debts of the Continental Congress? Didn't we do that already?

Compromising with rat extremists over nonexistent problems are of no use to the country and only cost big bucks and screw it up even more. Exhibit A: ‘Cap and tax” to ‘fight’ global warming.

too many would rather draw sharp distinctions and score political points, even if that means neglecting the problems our country faces.

Uh, Suzie? Not drawing sharp distinctions between the good & bad policies is exactly the biggest problem our country faces today

One nugget in there:
.

“...the response that then-Sen. Lowell Weicker gave to an unhappy constituent who denounced him and his colleagues as ``a bunch of liars, thieves and womanizers.’’ Weicker calmly replied: ``Well, it is, after all, a representative form of government...’’”

Name one Reid / Obama bill that was ‘moderate’. C’mon Sen. Collins. One.

Susan you stupid twit. If you attempt to apply your “A moderate’s survival guide,” you will be trampled by the conservative hoard.

I’m very sorry for you if you can’t see what almost two years of “moderation” has done to our precious country. I pray we can quickly reverse course.

This is one of the most self serving articles I have ever read. Collins thinks that compromise of principle to “get things done” is a good thing, when in fact, not getting things done that are destroying our nation is a good thing. This woman should be removed from the Senate in 2014 — we (the country) would be much better off.

The Maine hags will pull a Jeffords/Specter ... just a matter of time. The great moderates in history book has a front and back cover with no pages in between. Floozy Collins is a SOCIALIST ENABLER.
