Obama's new national security advisor called a 'disaster' by Gates

With the departure of General Jones from the White House, America is losing fine public servant and excellent military man. One of the few in Washington who eschewed the limelight, Jones did his job fairly competently and with a minimum of self promotion.

Will we get that lucky with his replacement?

The man picked to be President Obama's next national security advisor was sharply criticized by top officials in the administration, with the Secretary of Defense saying he would be a "disaster" in the job. According to the new book about the Obama administration's handling of Iraq and Afghanistan by Bob Woodward, Pentagon chief Robert Gates expressed deep reservations about Deputy National Security Advisor Tom Donilon, who has been tapped to be the successor to Gen. James Jones.

In the book "Obama's Wars," Woodward writes that, "Gates felt that Donilon did not understand the military or treat its senior leadership with sufficient respect."

"The secretary later told Jones that Donilon would be a ‘disaster' as Obama's national security adviser," Woodward wrote.

I sure would like to find the 29% of people in America who strongly approve of Obama's performance as per Gallup.

We need to round up these people and place them in places where they cannot hurt themselves. Their leader is trying to really hurt the rest of us, as this is a dangerous game he is playing with our lives.

The White House is in the hands of America-hating Marxists, from the top down. Jones was practically the only argument against this statement. With his departure, the real political nature of the President and those that surround him is painfully apparent.

This appointment of this “military hater” just further proves how much POTUS Obama hates America. Any American voter that votes for any Democrat in the November election is voting to help Obama destroy America, its culture, its economy, its religions, its freedom, its greatness, its future!!! Barack Hussein Obama and his America hating wife, Michelle are enemies of the state and true enemies of the United States of America!!! American voters, turn out and vote to destroy the entire “traitor” Democrat Party on Election Day, November 2, 2010!!!

I just finished reading Dinesh D’Souza’s new book, The Roots of Obama’s Rage. It adds a lot of insight to the analysis he outlined in his Forbes article about Obama and anti-colonialism.

This appointment, including the fact that it is a “disaster” for those who understand and support the idea of America, is PERFECTLY consistent with Obama’s ideology. And it PERFECTLY capable of helping Obama further accomplish his anti-colonial mission.

I highly recommend D’Souza’s book.

Looking forward: Despite her present tenure at State, the younger Hilary Clinton was also said to “detest” the military. It’s not just the Obama Dems.

seems appropriate that a disaster would select a disaster.

Donilon has never bothered to go to Iraq or Afghanistan, nor is he known for his breadth of knowledge with regard to other foreign policy issues.

As the father of a fine young American who is about to put boots on the ground in Iraq, this scares the hell out of me.

I’m about halfway through the book right now, and the one theme that is constant from the beginning is how marginalized General Jim Jones has been, and how his aide Donilon subverted him from the beginning because he had a special relationship, and the ear of the (P)resident.

Donilon is a political hack who was well known for spouting off in meetings about things he had absolutely no experience with. He had no problem spouting off about actual condition on the ground in Afghanistan even though he had never been there himself (he has since been there, but I’m not sure what if anything he accomplished other than to get a check in the box).

Same goes for his spontaneous remarks about career military officers whom he had never met personally and knew nothing about their qualifications to speak authoratively on military matters Donilon had no clue about.

Donilon is a left-wing political hack who has been involved with some of the biggest names in left-wing American politics from Jimmy Carter to Joe Biden, and many more in between. I think Jones finally had enough of being constantly cut out of the loop as National Security Adviser and pulled the plug. Two weeks notice is highly unusual for a position this high up the foodchain, and there is plenty of reason to worry about this.

Donilon is very much one of the “waterbugs” Woodward talks about, and his appointment demonstrates that the Regime has no intention of changing course on anything.

A disaster is what Obama wants.

It helps him in his destruction of America.

Because with this appointment we now have a lawyer political hack who hates the military advising a pres. who hates the country while we have American troops fighting in 2 theaters, while several other rogue countries either have nukes or are on the verge of obtaining them who would like nothing more than to see the US brought to our knees.
