WASHINGTON (AP) - Hillary Rodham Clinton never met a political battle she didn't like. Until now.
Amid frenzied inside-Washington speculation about her political ambitions, the secretary of state is staying firmly on the sidelines. As Democrats and Republicans fight for control of Congress in next month's midterms, the former first lady and senator will be sitting it out, literally half a world away.
Clinton ran staff and reporters ragged during her 2008 Democratic presidential campaign. Now, barred by convention and tradition from partisan political activity as America's top diplomat, she is spending the weeks ahead of the Nov. 2 balloting doing administration business in Europe and Asia.
"I am not in any way involved in any of the political campaigns that are going on up to this midterm election," Clinton said last week.

Well, Apollo Alliance, Center for American Progress, etc., are well entrenched in the 2010 election to ensure it does not go Democrat's way so Obama can blame Republicans in 2012.
There may be public-facing statements of, "no way" will Obama and Hillary team up. Well, Soros runs them both, funds them both, and, bills are written behind the scenes by Soros' folks (Obamacare, for example).
These statements Hillary and Soros are making are a distraction so most sheeple Americans will not suspect them when Obama crams 15 or so bills down our throats come November 3rd.
Are we prepared? Am I crazy? I don't think so.
Can Boehner, McConnell, Bachman, et al, put up a good enough fight? Will McCain stand tall against these folks or acquiesce?
Time will tell. I hope we can put up a good enough fight to save the republic.
I am skeptical enough of the timing of Hillary and Soros' comments that I can only think it's part of their grand plan...as is the Dems pulling out of several states now and saving their monies. How much $$$ do you think Soros is making in shorting currencies and on his 5 tons of gold he claims to have in his hedge fund now?
Rush Limbaugh said yesterday that he thinks Hillary is going to run in 2012.
Hilda’s the second half of the agenda.....Dumbo is over in 2012,Hilda comes in to save the day....and cap off the killing of America.
Oh, and when Rush predicted it, he said the famous “mark my words”.
Agreed.
I’d also suspect a faux proxy war between Obama and Hillary but a magical meeting of the minds and then a VP/P for the two of them and the cash man (Soros) funding the whole thing.
Palin can beat them.
I’ll change my prediction once more. Obama doesn’t want the presidency again. Hillary will try to TAKE that.
Obama wants U. N. head and wants one world currency, as does Soros. That is their goal.
I heard that too.
I hope he's right.
What a great way to splinter the Democrat party.
...when he made her SOS I knew it then, when the scrapple about Hilda and Biteme swapping places was thrown out there as a test balloon, and it went pretty smooth, I figured as much.....
I’m going out on a limb here but if Hillary runs she is going to have to drop about 50 pounds, cut her hair, wash her hair, get a girdle and perk up. She is one tired old broad these days and looks amazingly depressed.
If so, it is certainly within Hitler-y's best interests to stay as far away from this particular election as is humanly possible. She can only gain by her distance from it.
As a thought, I look for her to resign her position as Sec of State shortly after the New Year...and begin her "drive" for the White House.
Tho I despise her intensely, she has gained a good deal of "gravitas" during her tenure as Sec of State....certainly more than any of her would be rino opponents. She has placed herself in a kind of "win win" postition too.
If an opponent points to gaffs during her tenure, she can simply assert she was being the "dutiful soldier" and following the failed orders of the epic failed little tin god. If there are successes to be identified, of course, it will be spun that these were, after all, cases of her thinking on her feet and going "against the grain" so to speak.
In my mind....tho I hate to say it....she is playing this perfectly.
And don't think she doesn't know it!
As Soros said, don’t stand in front of an Avalanche.
Hillary knows there is no point in her throwing support to people who are going to lose and lose big. Her party will forgive her for voting present in the mid-terms.

I’m curious....right now, as it stands, would not Hitler-y beat the little tin god in a “one on one” election?

The Clinton camp has pre-ordered a railroad tank car of Botox in preparation for 2012.
The other Clinton is busy doing all the political stuff..
