A female truck driver was arrested after she allegedly ripped up a lithograph at a Colorado museum that purportedly shows Jesus having sex.

Kathleen Folden, 56, of Kalispell, Mont., spent the night in the Larimer County jail after being arrested at the Loveland Museum Gallery, The Coloradoan of Fort Collins reported. Police said she used a crowbar to break through the plexiglass protecting the lithograph and then shredded it.

Generally, I would oppose smashing a painting with a crowbar, even a bad painting, but this "painting" was a deliberate insult and provocation, like burning a flag.

And this lady sounds like she just had had enough.

I wonder if she got the frame that depicted mohammed woshipping the pig ladies?

I would have been completely unaware of that depiction but for FreeRepublic. No news source mentioned it.

Anyone opposed to what this woman did obviously must be prejudiced toward lady truck drivers!

I understand how she felt, and wanted this painting gone, but I fear that her act will get more airplay on teh MSM than a beheading would have by an RIP’er.

I still think she was part of the show. Look to see her get off without charges being pressed. And see her getting her rig spiffed up in the not-too-distant future.

She should just say she’s Muslim and offended. Case closed.

Outraged citizen destroyed taxpayer funded establishment of religious mockery of Christianity.

If you can’t put the 10 commandments on courthouse grounds or see a giant cross that tributes fallen soldiers, then you can’t use taxpayer money for THIS either.

The so called art depicted Jesus in a homosexual act which is called BLASPHMY. The city of Loveland incited violence by not listening to concerned citizen. She was not the only one that had enough. There are many offers for donations to her defense fund. Even a liberal journalist thought the lady was great. It was a cartoon not a painting.

Imagine the publicity if she’d tried to smash a koran with a crowbar. It might have even become an international news item.

But depicting Jesus in an orgy isn’t “worthy” of editorials from liberals who think it is disrespectful. And it isn’t worthy of editorials who think that our government shouldn’t be funding religous iconography arts.

She should just say she’s Muslim and offended. Case closed.

She need not go that far. All she has to say is that it was offensive to a recognized prophet to Islam. She can still retain her Christianity. Put the fear of Islam to the left by default.

Three cheers for her.

Although with a print, the artist can just run off some more and cry censorship and homophobia and mew about how brave and transgressive he is at every new venue.

And even if it was a one-off drawing, he could do another in half an hour.

Sigh.

The state uses taxpayer money to support this blasphemy? If there is a separation of Church and State (as it is now understood) then this is unconstitutional. (as was the urine with cruxifix, etc.) We should demand NO taxpayer money to promote Atheism also.

BTW, Atheism and Marxism is being promoted 24/7 with taxpayer money.

What beheadings?

There have never been any beheadings, otherwise Chrissie Matthews would have told us about them.

Nah, no good to borrow on their reputation for violence. It empowers them to do so.

Maybe. But you could also argue the artist had created “participation art,” and she was just fulfilling that role.

Also, lest we become too clever for our own good, please keep in mind that some among the Reformers who gave us “Protest”-antism did attack physical symbols of idolatry and blasphemy. So it is not completely unreasonable to think this could happen naturally within Christianity, especially in response to a deliberate provocation.
