I am curious why this judge has standing to even think his order would be obeyed.

Again, the Judge needs to read the Constitution.

Congress regulates the military, not the Judicial Branch.

Excellent! It will be overturned, it’s a Clinton judge, and the timing couldn’t be sweeter!!

“I am curious why this judge has standing to even think his order would be obeyed.”

Because the biggest advances the Left has ever made have been through the courts- it’s a ploy that works, and is permanent, mostly.

Great! So let’s go back to the old policy where we ASK them and then kick them out.

‘nationwide injunction stopping enforcement’

WTF

a judge can do this over a military or congressional ruling?

Oh right, so it’s meaningless, except it makes meaningless headlines that stir up Obama’s base...

Agreed - but why THIS judge thinks he can order the EXECUTIVE branch to do something is interesting.

Does this mean our troops will now have gays dressed in drag shooting at the Islamist terrorists?

Another judge making an unConstitutional ruling. Only Congress has the Constitutional right to regulate the Armed Forces as per Article 1 Section 8.

They’ve managed to overrule the military when it comes to the treatment of detainees outside the country so now they are trying, like creepers, to spread their tentacles ever wider.

Let me introduce myself. I am Virginia Phillips, and I am the self-anointed expert on how a military should be managed. History, tradition, experience, and respect for those who run the military? I don't need them. You see, I am a lawyer. And not just a regular lawyer, I am a JUDGE.

If you think I am not worthy of the bench, you can attempt to impeach and convict me--otherwise, I will be defining for an entire nation the way they must conduct military personnel policy.

I require total submission, because you see, I wear a BLACK ROBE.

The policy seems unConstitutional to me, anyway. Why don’t homosexuals have the same right to serve as anyone else? If their sexual activity becomes an issue and is detrimental to the service, drum them out. I say the same thing for ALL soldiers. It is a dirty little barely secret that a LARGE percentage of females serving in Iraq were sent home pregnant and a LARGE number of men and women committed adultery with other soldiers without any repercussions except for the destroyed families at home. The biggest sellers in the base stores are condoms and pregnancy tests. They have rules against such things, but they ignore those, so why not this one?

Our military has always discriminated—
discriminated against the blind, quadriplegics, deaf, mentally ill, etc.
No disrespect to the above.
Just a fact, the military discriminates to maintain the strongest fighting force in the world.
When open homosexuality is permitted, the military may find themselves bogged down with sexual harassment investigations and charges.
