The subheading on this one should be Shhhhhhhhhhhh. Feisty crowd, feisty McMahon and a Blumenthal who pretty much put me to sleep. But there were some classic moments, as youll see.
Ill have another post later but heres a quick recap. Right out of the gate Blumenthal was asked one more time about how jobs were created. A little more lucid this time but government is still the answer. McMahons retort, and Im paraphrasing nice to know youve been working on your answer Mr Blumenthal.
But I think the best was saved for last. As youll hear Blumenthal lights the fuse when he claims he cant be bought by the special interest campaign contributions hes taken. The people of Connecticut know me. It was all Linda needed to hear
Paraphrasing, Indeed they do. It was off to the races for everyone including the crowd.

GO LINDA GO!!!
i think if you do the math, it takes 13.8 average private sector jobs to pay the salary of one average government job. that doesn’t factor in things like the costs of benifits, etc., merely the salary.
so if Dickie-poo wants to create government jobs, he’d better have a plan for creating 13.8 times as many private sector jobs to support them.
Anyone else notice Blumenthal’s “Jimmy Carter” smile? And just how full of himself is this clown? Talking about all the great things he supposedly did? Who does he think he is?

He’s downright creepy.
She is awesome. I hope she bodyslams this clown on Election Day.
I served in the United States Air Force from 1970-1974. I was stateside for the entire four years, as an electronics instructor at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, MS. I am a proud veteran who served during wartime, but would never dishonor the brave men who fought in Viet Nam by claiming to be a “Viet Nam” veteran, or by describing my experiences after I “returned from Viet Nam.” Blumenthal would never get my vote, even if he were closer to Reagan than Obama politically. Lies about combat service are an automatic deal breaker. (John Kerry, please take note.)
Dem candidate Dick Blumenthal---after Linda got through with him.
Imagine being at a family gathering, and there in the corner sits "Uncle Dick." Would you want your children getting anywhere near him?
She continues to put the “SMACK DOWN” on his candy @55.
Good stuff.
The 'Rat-libs do it all the time. It makes me crazy when I see panels of libs and conservatives on TV news shows and whenever a conservative commentator is talking or making a point, you see the libs on the panel making childish gestures like shaking their heads, rolling their eyes, smirking, snorting, snickering, basically acting like a-holes (Ellis Henican on FOX is particularly annoying with this). Bunch of smug bastards, the lot of them.
Man, THAT would be sweet. However, this being CT, I will have to see it to believe it.

I can’t listen to Jim anymore. The WTIC stream is so hit or miss and stops all the time.
Goodbye Jim.
I like how she stayed on message. The message being he’s not to be trusted. She’s smart enough to realize that this election has turned into a referendum on him and his credibility. Even his answers are constantly defending his own ideas and beliefs. That’s not a good sign to always be on the defensive. From this clip, it appears to me that she was getting the better of the debate.
She’s a good campaigner and if she was in a purple or red state, I think she would be winning this going away. As it is, shes in a blue state and is in the fight. My hats off to you Linda, you’re as tough as anyone!
