This is why there is such a push to make private sales of firearms illegal (AKA gun show loophole).

From an earlier post:

LESSON NO. 2: If a bureaucrat, or a soldier sent by a bureaucrat, comes to knock down your door and confiscate your firearms -- kill him. The disarmament of law-abiding citizens is the required precursor to genocide.

LESSON NO. 3: If a bureaucrat tells you that he must know if you have a firearm so he can put your name on a list for the common good, or wants to issue you an identity card so that you be more easily identified -- tell him to go to hell. Registration of people and firearms is the required precursor to the tyranny which permits genocide. Bureaucrats cannot send soldiers to doors that are not on their list.

You don’t need Permission for a Right

Registration and Licensing is a Permission.

The holy grail of the anti self defense and anti rights special interest groups is gun registration.

ALL short guns sold legally in the U.S. are already registered with the FBI and the LOCAL police and the STATE police where you live. That has been a fact of life since 1968.

Long guns? I don't own any.

Americans did nothing when NFA '34 was passed. I have no reason to believe they'll do anything if an anti-gun bill is passed by Congress before January.

Remember, the police have APCs, not tanks. Remember Waco?

Funny, I foolishly carried all my guns and ammo on a canoe that upended and all of my guns and ammo were lost.

True story.

All of my guns were LOST in a tragic boating accident in the middle of the Atlantic. Nothing to register. And my CC license is for a...a ginsu knife. Yeah, that’s it. An old, classic ginsu.

Years ago, I knew a guy who had escaped Hungary at about age 16.

He said that when they were invaded, the soldiers went to the police stations & got the lists of all the registered guns.

The soldiers then went to those houses first & confiscated the guns.

Some people got away before the soldiers came & that was the nucleus of the resistance.

He was a pretty happy guy——But when he spoke of what had happened in his home country, his faced changed completely.

Just remember what National rulers of a Socialist bent have said in the past:

A system of licensing and registration is the perfect device to deny gun ownership to the bourgeoisie. Vladimir Lenin

We want them registered - Nancy Pelosi

Registration or de facto registration in the form of closing the so-called “Gun-show loophole” means our Dear Leaders are granting “Permission” for you to have the right to defend yourself.

This “Permission” can be withdrawn at any time and thus your right to self-defense can be withdrawn at any time.
