WASHINGTON President Barack Obama's winning coalition from 2008 has crumbled and his core backers are dispirited. It's now Republicans who stand to benefit from an electorate that's again craving change.
Nearly two years after putting Obama in the White House, one-quarter of those who voted for the Democrat are defecting to the GOP or considering voting against the party in power this fall. Just half of them say they definitely will show up Nov. 2, according to an Associated Press-Knowledge Networks poll released two weeks before Obama's first midterm elections.

Cool! The media created Obumble. When you create an illusion out of nothing, upon closer inspection, it disappears.
Poll: Many Obama 2008 supporters returning to sanity
The same ole Kool Aid drinkers who got us into this mess in the 1st place suddenly found missing brain cells and have found solace in the GOP...pathetic.
TEA minus 16 Days and Counting.
You can be poor only so long and know you have to change for something better.
Exactly! MSM created, and not MSM destroyed... Wow, even the Liberals of the media can’t figure out how to save him...heh.
Is that a tingle I’m feeling going down my leg(?)
America, the greatest and most exceptional and remarkable nation in all of history, ate a mammoth hairball. In 16 days it will Barf it out...
Ah... too much MSNBC. There is a cure for that...heh.
More Leftist lies. It goes on to say “just as many McCain supporters are voting or thinking of voting for Democrats.”
It is hard to grasp just how full of shiite this author is.
But, everybody, still, has to suffer through, at least, TWO MORE YEARS of Barack Obama, unless he quits, dies, voids the ‘12 November election, wins re-election in ‘12 legally or by cheating, or is impeached.
“TEA minus 16 Days and Counting.”
Americans asked not to have the Health Care Bill passed.
They strenuosly objected to it.
They got it shoved down their throats.
Americans do not like to have crap shoved down their throats.
We vote for people to represent us, not to dictate to us.
Your tagline says it all.
IMHO many 2008 voters would NOT have supported BO if they had been provided background information on him. He is not the descendant of slaves or a son of American experience. Black AND white voters were deceived in their desire to give him a chance and validate their sense of pride and fairness.
Like finding out your spouse is a transgender!!!!
They re-interviewed 1,254 people and that’s all they could write?
“IMHO many 2008 voters would NOT have supported BO if they had been provided background information on him”.
...there was/is plenty of opportunity to find anything on anyone. The idiots that voted for this clown voted as if it were “American Idol”. They’re woefully misinformed and uneducated in economics and history. Stupidity is no excuse.
On Nov. 2, Obama will find out just how fickle many of his voters from 2008 really are. They had their thrill, their feel-good moment, and they aren’t there for him now. For all but his leftist hard core, it was never really about his policies, it was about his celebrity; and those voters aren’t to be counted on this year now that he needs them for vindication. On our side, we just need turnout, turnout, turnout. It all depends on that.
Half of Obama voters will definitely vote, while two-thirds of McCain voters will, and that's "just as many" on each side. The math here is another demonstration of the fundamental problem with Dems.
It would be nice if anyone who voted for Obama and his BS socialistic programs were just shipped off to Europe and let America get back to what it was.
That headline ought to strike fear into the pinkos.
Post of the day ! Gaack!
*** Stupidity is no excuse.***
Being misled by sophisticated propogandists happens daily.
BO was marketed to a trusting public. The headline suggests they have learned an expensive lesson.
I have hired and fired many employees with sparkling credentials and references...I trusted and verified - but was wrong.
When reading the article i was hard pressed to figure out how the right had an advantage. If two thirds of McCain voters were sure to come out and vote but half might vote dem then it would sem we’re in a heap of trouble.
I truly have a hard time believing how many voters on each side are switching sides according to this article.
_76 percent of Obama voters say they will support the Democrat in their House district, while 8 percent plan to back the Republican and the rest are undecided.
_71 percent of McCain voters say they will vote for the Republican in their House district, while 9 percent plan to get behind Democrats and 20 percent haven’t chosen a candidate.
So a larger percentage of McCain voters will switch than Obama voters. More undecided on the right,20% than on the left,16%.
I’m supposed to believe any of this nonsense?
“...ate a mammoth hairball. In 16 days it will Barf it out..”
It’s the economy...stupid...
Pelosi/Reid and the rest of the Democrats in Congress share the blame in the so-called voter ‘enthusiasm gap’ ... a term which is more disinformation.
There never was as much ‘enthusiasm’ for what they were doing in the first place, so how can there be a ‘gap’
I knew lying Liz wouldn't let us down. There just weren't any whoppers in the excerpt.
