A Dixmoor man was fatally stabbed in the Far South Side's West Pullman neighborhood this morning on his 30th birthday in a dispute over the bedtime of his child.
Lamar Seay, of the 14200 block of South Marshfield Avenue, was pronounced dead at 2:55 a.m. at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, officials said. Seay was at a home on the 0-99 block of West 118th Street when he was involved in an argument with another man. As the argument got heated, the other man took out a knife and stabbed Seay several times, police said.

Mandatory 'bedtimes' coming soon, no doubt; just not soon enough for these two merit debaters.
Amish????
Why did the link change his name from “Lamar” Seay to “Nick” Seay?
Or am I racist to notice such a thing?

Good catch. This is how the Sun-Times worded it: “Nick Lamar Seay, of the 14200 block of South Marshfield Avenue in Dixmoor...”
Ok, so the cops know who did it and the killer was last seen on a bicycle and yet he's still not in custody.
If the stabber said the kid should be in bed by 2:55 AM, I gotta go with justifiable homicide.
Or Bedtime for Daddy.
No one was in custody this afternoon, but investigators know who they’re looking for.”
well that’s a relief nevermind the dead person.
Its ok, little johnny has two fathers.
No kidding, makes one wonder...
Seay was at a home on the 0-99 block of West 118th Street when he was involved in an argument with another man. As the argument got heated, the other man took out a knife and stabbed Seay several times, police said.
Seay was paroled Oct. 1 from the Illinois Department of Corrections, according to records. He was convicted in 2008 of armed robbery and sentenced to eight years in prison.
Seay's mother said today she last saw him Saturday night when he left her home with an aunt and a cousin. She had not been notified about her son's death, she said.
After the stabbing, the man fled on a bicycle, police said.
Sources said Seay and the other man have children with the same woman. One of the sources said she lived in that home with the children.
That source said the argument was about the bedtime of Seay's child.

Wow, I bet this counts as a parole violation. He’s gonna have to finish the remaining six years of the eight-year sentence.
In addition to that life sentence thing coming down.
Well, Seay is now dead, so there will be no parole violation. The guy who left on the bike will soon be facing murder charges.
Well, the comforting thing is that nobody can deny him his voting rights now.
IMO it would be cheaply illuminating to examine the Illinois voting rolls for say, the last 200 people murdered in Illinois.

I don't believe it?!?
I'm pretty sure there's a law in Chicago against stabbing people.
Mayor Daley should have this checked out asap. Maybe the Anti-Stabbing Law isn't tough enough. [there's prolly a loophole due to that all powerful, 'Knife Lobby', aka: the NKA ;-)]
'series', If the Chicago Cops know who the perp is, the 'Dicks' will have him in cuffs by noon. (Despite Daley's hate for his PD, they work their butts off)
an aside: 'Way back when', I used to have to go to that neighborhood (Pullman) once a week for Project Meetings (School Construction). I always carried my Colt .38 snubby loaded with Super-Vels. Ditto for a Project I was assigned in Dixmoor at the same time (The Co. was okay with this too, another PM also packed)
Aw, I got my thugs mixed up. Easy enough to do, I guess.
