Putin lives austerely, eats sparingly, keeps himself in shape. Historically, that’s a key to survival in power in Russia. Peter the Great, anyone? This is no show, IMO.

I think this is bogus. I’ve seen other pictures of him (with his dog) in his “palace” which is rich with baroque furniture and an elaborate staircase. And is this his WIFE? I thought he divorced his wife a year ago and he was carrying on an affair with a gymnast much younger than he and much slimmer than this Lyudmila.
Surprised that his wife is a woman.

I still can’t get over the fact that they match the couch perfectly. Can you imagine a pic like that of Obama and Michelle being released? Can you imagine the scenario even existing where they’d both be wearing taupe while sitting on a $400 taupe sofa? It boggles the imagination.
The black labrador is wonderful. The others, not so much.
