Nancy Pelosi: Blame George W. Bush, bash the Chamber of Commerce
By: Jake Sherman October 18, 2010 07:00 AM EDT
With her party down in the polls and poised to lose potentially dozens of seats in the mid terms, Speaker Nancy Pelosi will use one of her last major speeches before the elections to hit two favorite Democratic targets: George W. Bush and the Chamber of Commerce.
We have lost millions of jobs to outsourcing under President Bush. We dont intend to repeat that policy no matter how much money the Chamber of Commerce dumps into our elections," Pelosi plans to tell the Women of Steel Convention in Pittsburgh on Monday, according to prepared remarks.
Democrats in recent weeks have started ripping the right-leaning Chamber in recent weeks, claiming they are dumping foreign money into American congressional elections a charge the organization has denied.
Pelosi's speech Monday is one of her highest profile appearances in the run-up to the midterm election. A group of her Democratic colleagues have backed away from her, saying they wouldn't support her for speaker should the party keep the majority. Pelosi's October has largely consisted of fundraising, and her public campaigning schedule has been lighter. She'll be in New York Tuesday, raising money for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
Pelosi also plans to push the Democrats' "Make it in America" mantra.

Well then, according to Pelosi, the quickest way to promote job creation is through the use of food stamps, right? So, I guess if the entire nation were on food stamps, we’d have full employment.

I went to the Bronx Zoo yesterday. At the Rhinoceros (not Rino) exhibit there was a sign that said Rhinos “have loose folds of skin, with rivet-like knobs.”
I immediately thought of Nancy Pelosi. Seriously.

Dems have come full circle, now they’re running against “millionaires and billionaires” again.
Ran against George Bush - failure.
John Boehner - failure.
Chamber of Commerce - failure.

The irony of the situation is, the more pelosi and her chia pet, obama, trash George W. Bush, the higher Bush climbs in the polls.
The "pot calling the kettle black" doesn't work on the school playground, OR, in Washington.
When the water is up to your waist on the Titanic, you can't blame the ship that has already reached its destination.
At this point, there's not much the dems can do or say that will halt the tsunami coming on November 2nd...nothing LEGAL anyway.
Robert Gibbs has joined pelosi in a shared delusion that the dems will still be in control of both the House and the Senate after the elections; technically, they are right, but come January, after the swearing-in ceremonies, all bets are off.
But, it's not like they - and all the other obama-pandering dems were not told in advance. "Shove it down our throats now, and we'll shove it up you ass in November." has been a popular sign at all the TEA party express gatherings, as well as all over the internet. They've been sent millions of letters, faxes and emails to that effect...obviously unopened. Thousands of "pink slips" were sent to them all, explaining the same consequence to their votes on obamacare and other anti-American legislation.
We're the boss...and if you don't do what your boss says, you get canned.

Free trade would be great if we protected our sovereignty and did not export out technology. But our government has made it impossible to compete.

President [Leo] Gerard has been one of our most eloquent allies. And the Women of Steel demonstrate every day that when we make it in America, our workers have a chance to make it in America.”
OOOOO, Bush is coming back... and that scary Chamber...Why would companies make anything in America when you have spent two years making it more expensive for them to do so?
I am going to miss Nancy as Speaker :

Neither you nor Nancy "get it". It's not from exporting jobs ~ it's from installing mechanization, automation, computerization and robotics in our production facilities and systems.
Fewer and fewer people are needed to produce the same amount of goods and services ~ however you want to measure it.

I have seen that here, here all three major grocery stores have replaced union checker/cashier jobs with automated checkers. Swipe the barcode, your discount card and then your credit card yourself.
But making human labor MORE expensive is what drives automation and exporting jobs. And we do that by voting for more 'fair'/'compassionate' sounding mandates and handouts.
Jobs going to China take more skills than automation. You are talking about a educated workforce that can at least read and write English and many go to college.

If the GOP does win big one of the major benefits will be that this reprehensible woman will be reduced to the status of back bench pygmy. She may well lose her position as leader of her caucus. She might even retire.
Or maybe it would be better if she stays put as minority leader. She is such a transparent liar and hypocrite and so bereft of originality and incapable of coherent thought that she keeping her out front of the rats only helps the opposition.
