I got this in an email and it sounded like such a good idea that I thought I would share it.
Subject: You're one of my 20 people,
Your part of my 20 people, hoping you will send this on to your 20 so we get this out before November If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people then it will only take three days for most people (in the U.S. ) to receive the message. Maybe it is time.

A friend sent this along to me. I can't think of a reason to disagree.
I am sending this to virtually everybody on my e-mail list and that includes conservatives, liberals, and everybody in between. Even though we disagree on a number of issues, I count all of you as friends. My friend and neighbor wants to promote a "Congressional Reform Act of 2010." It would contain eight provisions, all of which would probably be strongly endorsed by those who drafted the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
I know many of you will say "this is impossible." Let me remind you, Congress has the lowest approval rating of any entity in Government. Now is the time when Americans will join together to reform Congress - the entity that represents us.
We need to get a Senator to introduce this bill in the US Senate and a Representative to introduce a similar bill in the US House. These people will become American heroes
********************************** Congressional Reform Act of 2010
1. Term Limits.
12 years only, one of the possible options below..
A. Two Six-year Senate terms B. Six Two-year House terms C. One Six-year Senate term and three Two-Year House terms
2. No Tenure / No Pension.
A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.
3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.
All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people.
4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.
5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.
6. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.
7. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.
8. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/11.
The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen. Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.
Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

Let me simplify this for you.
Congress shall live under the laws they pass for the rest of us.
Our only hope is a con-con. 34 states can come together and put the stop on the big states that have gone communist. I predict the call for a convention will begin next year. It is time.
NO!! NO!! NO!! This nonsense of calling a Constitutional Convention will deprive us of all our rmaining freedoms. Does anyone not expect such a convention to produce expanded duties assigned to Congress and a reduction in states and individual freedoms?
We have a perfectly good Constitution. All we have to do is ENFORCE it.
The Rinocratic Oligargchy is desperate to achieve anything OTHER than Constitutional Law...

The next primaries will be a sweep out of RINOS. I still think it better to take the Republican Party back in American hands than to try a 3rd Party. Rendell and Clinton will probably challenge Obama for 2012. This could split the Commies and leave us an opening.

All true and good and we should do it.. After the November 2nd elections.
Right now we can’t even stop Obama’s radical agenda.
We can’t even do anything about Illinois military ballots not going out in time to be counted.
We will defund Obama’s agenda when we have the majority in the House and the Senate.
He can still veto any bills we send up but damage can be limited until 2012.
In 2012 we have another chance to vote in other like minded Non-politicians to local, state and federal offices.
We can use this Congressional Reform Act and really get it through the House and Senate and signed by a new President..
Right now it just a great idea whose time has come but will never get out of committee to vote on..
We have few important days left to get friends, family and neighbors out to vote for like minded, limited government
candidates.
