EDITORIAL: Death for Hasan--Justice demands execution for murderous jihadist soldier
The Washington Times ^ | October 21, 2010 | Editorial

Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan deserves the death penalty for perpetrating the Nov. 5, 2009, Fort Hood massacre. He has earned this penalty not only for the scale of his crime - the worst domestic attack on a military installation in American history, killing 13 and wounding 32 - but also for the purposeful way he planned and executed the assault, his jihadist motives and for the fundamental betrayal of the trust placed in him as an officer in the United States Army.

Witness testimony at the ongoing Article 32 hearings in a military court at Fort Hood paints a harrowing picture of Hasan as a heartless, ideologically motivated killer. The judge, Col. James Pohl, has asked for testimony from all the wounded survivors of the attack. Hasan was heavily armed, with over 300 rounds of ammunition, of which he expended at least 146. He did not fire randomly but carefully chose targets with a laser sight before firing multiple rounds into his panicked, unarmed victims. He showed no mercy to them, and deserves none himself.

Maj. Steven Richter, who testified via webcam from his current post in South Korea, recalled telling the police, "He's one of us." But more accurately, Hasan is one of them, an al Qaeda-inspired Islamic extremist who prefaced his assault with the jihadist war cry "Allahu Akbar!" His fateful moment was facilitated by a string of intelligence failures and oversights motivated by an overweening and persistent sense of political correctness in the military establishment.

Should the wheels of military justice move quickly and this POS is sentenced to death, his death sentence has to reviewed and approved by the POTUS. If this happens before 2012 our Muslim in Chief will be in a quandary whether to give him a jihadist martyrdom or a pardon.

Or better yet, death by lethal injection, a transfusion of mistyped pig blood so he`ll die from the agglutination. It`d be the standard “cocktail” of choice in my world. A death sentence and a little deterrence to think about for other muslims considering attacking us on our home turf.

And some of those wounded were shot in the head.

The only shame is that if and when this worthless bastard is ever put to death for his atrocity, it will be done in private instead of in public where people can witness it, and as painlessly as possible. If anyone ever deserved a public hanging, it is this reprobate, and if he’s really paralyzed then he won’t kick so bad when the rope goes tight.

Absolutely! There’s much to be said for public executions, preferably by hanging, it gets peoples attention.

He should be executed military style... before a firing squad.

your description say why that is the WRONG WAY to execute him. He is not a person worthy of military treatment. He is more like a child molester, cattle rustler, or common thief who would prey on the weak and infirmed.

He should receive the treatment given to someone beneath those common criminals. He should be hung until he slowly chocks to death. No drop, just hung using a slip knot... maybe using picture hanger wire. Throw the remains into pigs feed and then into a pig wallow.

Shooting him is too much of an honor and should be reserved only for other combatants... he was not a military combatant but lower than even most common criminals. Don't honor him with a bullet.

I’d like to be the one who embalmed him with pig oil.

A perfect end. I would think that might be a powerful deterrent.
