New Study: Low Climate Change Risk in Iceland

Iceland is among five nations which are considered to be at the lowest risk of suffering consequences of climate change due to global warming, according to a new report by the British consulting company Maplecroft.

Mapecroft believes in fact that the Nordic countries will benefit from global warming, especially in regard to grain farming as a warmer climate creates a longer cultivating season in these countries.

The report took factors such as draught, flooding, landslides, poverty, number of inhabitants and ability to adapt to new circumstances into account in its ranking.

I see no problem in looking at the possible results of Climate Chnge. In fact Climate may indeed be changing.

It’s when these people say that it is humans who are causing the change that I get wrung up.

Those places benefited during the last great warming period around 1K years ago.

Gosh, just what was producing all the CO2 back then?

Physics is for sharp students.

Global warming is for the D students.

Living on a frickin growing volcanic structure pretty much negates the risk of a rising ocean level.

Have read, and heard from military friends, that the collective Icelandic bloodstream is so alcohol-thinned and distilled-grain bolstered that little can affect Iceland’s overall health.

DUH, Thats how greenland came to be in 1300 ad.. Was that man made global warming too?
