Rasmussen: Boxer 48, Fiorina 46
Rasmussen Reports ^ | October 22, 2010

Posted on 10/22/2010 12:07:24 PM PDT by GOPinCa

California’s U.S. Senate race between Democratic incumbent Barbara Boxer and Republican challenger Carly Fiorina remains a virtual tie with less than two weeks to go until Election Day.

The latest Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey of Likely Voters shows Boxer picking up 48% of the vote, while Fiorina draws support from 46%. Three percent (3%) prefer some other candidate, and three percent (3%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

The race remains a Toss-Up in the Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 Senate Balance of Power rankings.

Last week, Boxer led Fiorina 49% to 46%. Boxer was reeelected with 58% of the vote in 2004, but despite California's strong Democratic tendencies, this race has been close all year. The incumbent, who is seeking her fourth six-year term, has held a small lead in every survey but one since February with 42% to 49% of the vote. Fiorina, a former CEO of Hewlett-Packard, has earned 38% to 47% support in those same surveys.

A good ground game means in the area of coverage, actively having a network that works well on getting the message out, motivating the base to turn out, getting voters to the polls, stopping dirty tricks and making damn sure you win over the opposition.

” Unfortunately the margin is close enough that Demonrat vote fraud (lots of illegals have probably been registered) will likely ensure a Boxer win. “

It seems like the Republican party has a “ kick me” sign on it. If they don’t check for fraud, I say every very close race will be stolen. The Dems are scared, and out for blood. ACORN and its derivatives/affiliates are alive and well and don’t fear us.

Also, Prop 19 the marijuana initiative, is losing ground.
That was the democrats’ shiny thing to lure their voters to the polls.

Within striking distance....the polls nearly always lean to the left anyway! The truth is probably even closer.

Mrs. Boxer will win big in Hollywoodland. And Fiorina has come out for the Armenian genocide resolution —she should repeat that loudly and clearly...Boxer fails each time.

“Unfortunately the margin is close enough that Demonrat vote fraud (lots of illegals have probably been registered) will likely ensure a Boxer win.”

I know they’ve done this in the past. It happened in my back yard with ACORN stealing the statehouse here in 2004 for Gregoyle (sic). But I think ACORN has been tamed, we’re much more aware and it will be much harder to pull off this year.

Go Carly!

“If Whitman wins the ground game, Carly will benefit.”

Whitman’s gained a little ground, perhaps, but seems to be having a few foibles. Here’s hoping they both finish strong and put an exclamation point on a fine night.

‘Unfortunately the margin is close enough that Demonrat vote fraud...”

Every year and virtually every race it's a given that the dems will execute some sort of voter fraud plan.

I don't know what's more insane - the fact that cheating in elections is dem standard practice in America, or that people have become sort of desensitized to it, almost to the point of accepting the reality.

I could be wrong, but that's the way it seems to me.

Vote fraud could be curbed or virtually eliminated by requiring proof of citizenship before registration and a registration verification card which must be presented at the polls before being allowed to vote. The Demorats have blocked both these, and similar measures, precisely because they would work. Also, Republican poll watchers should be present at every stage of the vote count, and particularly in the handling and safeguarding of absentee votes. Vote fraud could be greatly reduced if both parties agreed to these stringent controls. So long as the Demonrats need vote fraud to win the close ones this will never happen.

Sorry to butt in with an off-topic question, but does anybody know wth is going on in the CO governor’s race? Tancredo is 1 point begind Hickenloper and Tancredo has been closing the gap quickly for a couple weeks. What’s with Maes? Will he drop out in time for enough voters to learn about it so Tancredo can get over the hump? Or is he going to stay in so Hickenloper can win? Why did Maes go downhill? Did he ever have a lead or a head of steam? What is the problem in CO?

As for my state, CA, I still think Carly is going to win.
