Another Transparent Attempt by Anonymous 'Republican Insiders' to Discredit Governor Palin
C4P ^ | October 23, 2010 | Doug Brady

Posted on 10/23/2010 8:56:44 AM PDT by DB9

In the past week, two hit pieces have been written against Governor Palin. The first was the piece by Jonathan Martin that was been thoroughly debunked as "flat out lies" by practically every source he identified by name. This was followed yesterday by a second hit piece in the New York Daily News that, hilariously, claimed that it will be Governor Palin's fault if the GOP doesn't take back the Senate. Whitney discussed this silliness in a post last night. To Whitney's analysis I would add that the GOP establishment has no idea how thin the ice is upon which they stand. They should be on their knees thanking their lucky stars that Governor Palin encouraged Tea Party candidates to remain in the GOP and not pursue the third party route. If Tea Party candidates had gone rogue and left the GOP, there would be no chance of even a House majority this November, much less a Senate majority.

Back to the two hit pieces. Other than the sources Jonathan Martin named (who have since unequivocally called him a liar as noted above), both pieces relied exclusively on infamous anonymous Republican "insiders", "consultants", "party elders", etc. This brings up an interesting question. These so-called Republican geniuses are almost certainly aware of how critical this mid-term election is. Why then would they "leak" false stories designed to smear Governor Palin to left-wing "journalists" who obviously have an agenda to hurt the Republican Party? Why at this particular time? How does this help the Republicans in the upcoming election? The short answer is it doesn't.

This is one of the silliest anti-Palin attacks I’ve seen. She could be the central political force in an electoral tsunami, but she’ll still get trashed if her picks, who came from nowhere to lead many contests once she endorsed them, aren’t enough for the GOP to take both the House and the Senate. Apparently, a 50, 60, 90, or more gain in the House and an 8-10 seat gain in the Senate are not enough to impress the pundits if Sarah can’t give control of the entire legislative branch to conservatives in a single election. Can anyone imagine these same people holding Obama to a comparable standard?

I think this smells like Mitt Romney and his Salt Lake City thugs. However, Newt is also capable of treasonous sabotage like this.

Rove, of course, still has his advocates, and a powerful reach. His longtime deputy, Barry Jackson, is a top official for House Minority Leader John Boehner; William McGurn, a confidant from the Bush years, is not only a Wall Street Journal columnist but a high-level aide to Rupert Murdoch, giving Rove an ally in the executive offices of Fox News. Dana Perino, a Fox News contributor, is similarly a close friend. And Steve Schmidt, who ran the McCain campaign in 2008, is a Rove protégé.

Rove also has access to a few major donors from the Bush years. The fact that his new political organization, Crossroads, is almost wholly dependent on those millionaires proves that his is not a grassroots awakening. Reportedly the largest Rove donor is Texas billionaire Bob Perry, a longtime associate who funded the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, a group that seriously hobbled Senator John Kerry’s presidential bid in 2004. Rove always has denied having a role in the Swift Boat attacks.

Among journalists, the influential columnist Mike Allen of Politico is widely known to be a reliable bulletin board for Rove’s interests and activities.

Sarah presents a big target for rats and GOP-rat-lites. So far, she has taken the best they've got and is not only still standing but growing stronger everyday. As they grow desperate to take her out they will also slip up and make more foolish mistakes.

Most of these insiders know that Governor Palin will not play their game and, consequently, won't hire their incompetent, backstabbing a*ses, so it's undoubtedly in their financial interest that she not win the nomination.

Same thing on the state level. The Republican Party in Delaware will be overjoyed if O'Donnell loses to Coons. Because if she wins, it will probably cost them their jobs. They are too used to scarfing up pork by working closely with the Democrats and undermining their own supposed party.

The article doesn't name names, but it's clear that the organizer they see behind these betrayals is Mitt Romney. If Romney gets the nod, then all of them will have unlimited pork for another four years. And Karl Rove will continue to pretend that he is the wise wizard working behind the scenes.

For a chilling glimpse at these professional Republican jerks, read Sarah's book.

Pretty much, the handwriting is on the wall and the RINO ruling class Republicans know it. They are finished no matter what, but will they take the GOP down to irrelevant third party status with them or not? Selfishly, they intend to do just that rather than do well for themselves in the backseats of the party bus.

The conservative opposition to the Marxist usurpation of America will continue regardless of what name that party of conservatives bears. The fight against Marxism will go easier if that name is the Republican party, but the RINOs would rather be in charge of a third rate party in a devastated Marxist America. They will not go easily.

Because she IS the central force behind the electoral tsunami, that is why she is being trashed by the Republican Establishment. Establishment Republicans don’t like this tsunami any better than the Dims. Their playhouse is being destroyed.

Seven eights of all the "unidentified Republican insider" stuff the media has ever reported can be traced directly to democrat misinformation and disinformation craftsmen that have worked for the democrat fascist party for decades. You can bet your bottom dollar that were you to find out the "source" for this sort of thing it would be a group of democrats who carefully planned it to try and make as much dissension in the Republican ranks as possible. Just like the "polls" democrats are pointing to as a way to say they're not doing as badly as some think, this sort of thing has a twofold purpose. First, it is aimed at dividing and demoralizing Republicans and Republican leaning Independents, and second it's to try and keep the despair in the fascist ranks from keeping becoming so widespread that the democrat turnout is horrible.

Never forget, they hire professionals who have been well trained by the military and intelligence agencies to do this sort of thing and they are very, very, good at their work even though they are very, very, mercenary and work for the highest bidder. Oh, and rumor has it that the democrat fascists are getting help from professional propagandists CAIR has loaned them for an indefinite amount of time.

IOW, they're gearing up to get those who were stupid or foolish enough to fall for rumors and BS about Bush to fall for rumors and BS about the more outspoken on the Republican side after the election. They did a great job for the eight years of the Bush administration, such a great job that many a lie is still accepted as fact even among Republicans. So, they're just dusting off the machinery for the next two years by trying out a few things before the elections.

Regards

The Rhino herd down at the country club better figure out that the base wants aggressive activist candidates that will take the intellectual fight to enemy. No one wants another McCain or Dole. The Republican party membership is choosing the candidate this time, not Rove, not Newt, not the media, and not the DNC.

Palin isn’t my idea of a dream candidate but she’s fighting the fight and deserves very serious consideration.

Yes, she should have stayed out of the Delaware primary, so that the Castles of the world can help us achieve conservative values like Congress did from 2001-2006? Oh yeah, right!!

I mean more pork sent home and more compromising is way to win

I have wanted to warn FR about anti palin tint from the RNC
Palin recently agreed to send some fundraising emails
I had left the GOP months ago and stopped getting mailings/emails.
When I went to unsubscribe to the email, it says WOULD YOU LIKE TO STOP RECEIVING COMMUNICATION FROM SARAH PALIN

No, I want to stop hearing from the RNC.

Maybe.

And Mitt should step away, and let Conservatives run for the Presidency. If he's as supposedly as smart as some folks say...he should see and hear the mood of the country...and give it up.
