Why Did John Raese refuse to face-off with Manchin Today on FOX? (Vanity)

It's not unusual for a Liberal Democrat to refuse to come on FOX News Channel with their Republican opponent. But, why in the heck did Republican, West Virginia, Senatorial Candidate John Raese REFUSE to come on "Fox News Sunday With Chris Wallace" today and face-off with his Democratic opponent, Gov. Manchin? He was invited to be on the program but refused.

Are all the friggin' Republicans trying to lose this election? He gave Manchin a free pass. Watch the lying, position-changing, Obama-loving Manchin go up more in the polls after today.

Maybe he wanted to let him destroy himself. Why try to help an Obamakazi in their final plunge.

Good thing the race isn’t in my state. Anyone who is too cowardly to appear in a debate will never get my vote, no matter who it is.

Why do candidates have to go on these snorefests. Nobody watches them but the cocktail circuit people. Wallace is a lefty hack who trashes the right every time he has a chance. No loss here.

Raese is running a very effective local race vs. Manchin showing him to be a “rubber stamp” for Barack Obama/Harry Reed...it’s working

Manchin needs national exposure and a liberal sympathetic like Wallace to get back in it....that’s why.

Chris Wallace should be fired. He’s not good enough anymore.

Foxnews needs someone who is better for Sunday.
Now, with CNN really in the tank, down in the dumps,
Foxnews is #1.
Meet the Press stinks, Christiane Amanpour stinks.

I hate to steal Brett Baier from the 6pm show, but he is the only
person who is energetic, thorough and fair.

Yeah, Raese has more brains than Manchin. There’s your explanation.

Chris Wallace plays “gotcha” on Conservatives, then when he had Obama on, he lobbed softballs. He tries to appear neutral like a good journalist should, but his liberal bias shows just like his father’s.

Chris Wallace and his inconsistent condescending questioning? Wallace’s elitist tenancies often exceed his ability to be truly fair. This is Raese’s race to loose and to give a cornered rat a chance to bite you is not rational.

Manchin didn’t come across very well; in fact, the Raese campaign can use a good bit of fodder in a new ad.

The West Virginia Broadcasters Association extended an invitation to both candidates to appear in a debate that would be broadcast on many West Virginia commercial radio and television stations in mid October. Raese’s campaign agreed but the Governor said no and cited a scheduling conflict. When additional dates were offered the truth came out from Manchin’s campaign – there would be no debate.

What you don’t know, Joe has been in the “the seat is mine” routine since his announcement for the position. His poll numbers has edged down every week for the last four weeks. Joe can’t get his numbers to move. Ras announced a 7 point lead for Raese last week. So Joe becomes desperate, and calls Fox and lays out a challenge for John. Now John has the momentum and the lead why go on TV to help Fox’s ratings. Most conservatives that I know don’t watch TV or very little. I get my information gleaned off the Internet. I have already voted for John and many Tea Partiers have too. What could John say or Joe for that matter that would change a person’s vote? No conservative nor independent would give another Democrat vote to Obama and his agenda. That is what this election cycle is all about. John Raese is a very good, successful, business man and very conservative. Manchin is taking it on the chin, has has back tracked on Cap and Trade and Obamacare in the last two weeks. Manchin ads don’t even say Democrat on them, I’m told. John had nothing to win or prove to show up at the last minute besides a possible ambush? John will win even with the Fairmont Mafia Joe is tied in with.

This guy is under federal investigation. He is Joe Manchino’s right hand man and Democrat Party leader. He has gone underground till after the election. Most WV’ians know why. Manchino is in trouble. So his last minute debate on Fox is a drowning man grabbing at water.

Chris Wallace is no conservative.

He is still trying to find those originals his daddy had on Bush.

I must say this in Chris Wallace’s defense. He did challenge Manchin on changing his views on Health Care and Cap and Tax. Of course, Manchin, lied and waffled.
