Raese is running a very effective local race vs. Manchin ...its working
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Then why is Manchin ahead 1 or 2 percentage points in the latest poll? Why did Raese lose his lead in the polls this late in the game?
Myron Leon Wallace's son (one of four marriages) is just an echo of his vile old man.
Chris Wallace did fine as far as his questioning of Manchin was concerned.
Wallace did not let Manchin fillibuster and brought out Manchin’s previous contrary positions on health care and cap ‘n trade.
The interview did not help Manchin.
Nice empty ranting headline you made.
Meaningless.
Manchin didn’t help himself in any way! And I don’t doubt polls will show Manchin up, they already do, even though it’s a lie.
I dislike Wallace but thought he was very fair, particularly when he caught Manchin saying he would not have voted for health care nor cap and trade. He actually showed footage of Manchin saying the complete opposite earlier this year.
They adulterated it with a bogus Marshall Univ Poll of 402 “Likely Voters” .....here

Then there is PPP at +3 for Manchin...yeah, right..
Remove those two, it is Lean/Likely REP
Yeah, Raese has more brains than Manchin. Theres your explanation.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
How many brains does he have? I thought the human body only had one brain. Anyhow, let me make sure I have this correct. If you have “brains”, you duck every opportunity to debate your opponent on a Conservative Cable News Network. Geesh; why couldn’t I see that?
That was the ONLY thing Wallace got him on.
So far, your answer to my question has made more sense. Thanks for the input.
Maybe most conservatives you know don’t watch TV, but most conservatives I know only watch Fox News. That is one venue you don’t “blow off” since it has more viewers than all the other cable news channels combined, and more than some of the “mainstream” networks. It was an opportunity lost. If he wins, fine. But if he loses, he might look back and regret not at least making a show for the conservatives who watch Fox News.
Nice empty ranting headline you made.
Meaningless.

Well, I had a question. How should I have worded it? Help me out here.
Never mind, I don’t need any advice from a dude who spells “Fred” with 3 “d’s” and never has the b*lls to Post himself; just be critical of people who do post. So I guess all I have to say to you is “Bite me”.
“Myron Leon Wallace’s son (one of four marriages) is just an echo of his vile old man.”
Oh cut it out you guys. Chris Wallace’s mother and Mike Wallace got divorced when Chris was very young, and he was basically raised by his stepfather, not his father, and his stepfather was a Republican, not a Dem. Know the facts and then sling the mud.
How many of those conservatives will be able to vote for John who is running for the West Virginia senate seat.
The West Virginia Broadcasters Association extended an invitation to both candidates to appear in a debate that would be broadcast on many West Virginia commercial radio and television stations in mid October. Raeses campaign agreed but the Governor said no and cited a scheduling conflict. When additional dates were offered the truth came out from Manchins campaign there would be no debate.

In case you missed this part.
These are the people who can actually vote for the two candidates.
Chris Wallace is a democrat and his stepfather (Bill Leonard) was responsible for Dan Rather's role as CBS anchorman.
On the Friday morning feature with radio talk host Mike Gallagher, Chris Wallace often takes a non-Conservative stand.
Chris Wallace certainly isn't in the league of David Gregory and the other far left Sunday morning hosts (like that beastly creature on ABC) but his Conservatism is questionable. At best, Wallace is a down-the-murky middle moderate.
John Raese probably thought his time would be better used campaigning in the state he is running in rather than going on national TV where people from 49 other states would be watching. No votes to be gotten there...I think he did the right thing. There was nothing to be gained by going on Fox.
I agree 100% with your on-target evaluation. Likewise, I think Christine O'Donnell was wise to avoid this venue.
The term "Fox" appearing in a program (or network) name does not necessarily imply a favorable environment for Conservatives.
I haven’t seen evidence Raese is unwilling to debate. In his own state he will. On national tv he won’t. Since he isn’t running for President there is no reason he needs to accept an invite on network tv to debate.
Conservatives have got to make up their minds. On the one hand you have conservatives screaming at Republicans to avoid any possible misstep and just stay at home and campaign there. Next I know people think they should take national media up on the offer.
Rand Paul went on national tv, they used it against him. Since then he’s stayed close to home and everyone said it’s what he should have done to begin with. I’m not saying someone is right or wrong to do one of these national debates but if they choose to localize the election to avoid a costly mistake 2 weeks before the election on tv I don’t blame them.
Only? Having been caught in two lies, I'd say it didn't help him one bit and I wonder if he now regrets appearing.
